Am interested to learn if anyone has recently done this as a same day border bounce? ( during December 2024 )

 

With recent reports at the Nong Khai Thai side requesting at least a one night Laos overnight stay....

 

Would be great to know if this has hit at Chong Mek as of yet?

Yep.  Exactly.

 

Things appear to have already changed 'up the line' within the last month...

 

before that it was Chiang Khong started the same.  guess it may only be a matter of time.

From your "other" current thread hour ago you stated....

"I was planning on a 30 Extension of stay this week then after 30 days apply for a further 60 day Extension based on being married to a Thai."

 

So even without the 30 day extension to visa exempt (Nov) with a 60 to visit wife you are covered for next 3 months. Umm

However you have just assumed this info is for me....

and that i may be asking on behalf of somebody else..

I would just let people ask what they want for their reasons!
