How about the bleedin road!!

That's what it's there for.

The pavement/sidewalk/footpath should be for walking only.

Imagine seeing someone in the UK driving down a pavement at full speed, or in Australia, or Switzerland...

Could you imagine it? There would be uproar and rightly so!!

Yeah it might look a little strange in a western country. I do it all the time here along highways and interchanges and so do the cops, besides there are no pedestrians in those areas.

I'm on the SIDEWALK!!

Why should I be the one who needs to be careful?

Because here, whether legal or not, vehicles have the right-of-way not pedestrians, if you don’t obey by that “rule” your likelihood to get flattened greatly increases.

Vehicles have no right of way on a FOOTPATH.

The next one who drives past me on said footpath is getting clotheslined.

Its illegal to drive on the sidewalks but lacks enforcement as usual with most things, especially the scooter taxi's and delivery scooters from line and grab.

you should take one for the team and accidently step in front of one and cause an accident with injury. Then you can blow it up on social media for a new storyline and maybe lobby for a change in the laws. triple points if its a russian.

Tell that to the cops next time you see one short-cutting on a sidewalk

Stupid question.

Side walks are for pedestrians only.

Or shall pedestrians walk on the streets?

I reckon this thread was created with the help of booze or Yaba or Cannabis, but not with a clear head.🥳

No.

It was created because I was almost knocked down by a speeding bike on the footpath last night.

Conversely I would allow preteens to use bicycles on pavements/footpaths as they are too young for roads.

Yes. Last night? So my description was very precisely describing your situation.

I fail to see how that is relevant to the question asked in my OP.

No motorcycles but bicycles allowed.

Why is it a stupid question?

Many members last night came out in support of the speeding motorcyclist on the pavement.

Does it really matter what motorbikes are or are not allowed to do in Thailand?

Don't motorcyclists do as they please anyway?

It must have been a big plate!

Do you prefer mushrooms or Yaba? Or both? I think some clean and fresh air will clear your head soon. But you always come up with strange episodes (medical term) or stories.

Some make me laugh. Today's doesn't.

It didn't make me laugh last night either.

You reported to the police?

What kind od question is This?

A sidewalk is for peditrens and not for motorbikes.... and you don't know this?

No need for any question. They are not allowed on sidewalks, but as usual they brake the laws.

And we really need a thread and a poll to get a sensible answer to the question?
