Bit of an obscure question: Has anyone upgraded an old 10 digit tax ID number to the more recent 13 digit number in Bangkok? I am curious what documents I need and if it was subject to scrutiny regarding back tax withholding on fixed accounts/previously not filing, etc.
I have had a Non-B visa and work permit for 15 years or so through a university I teach part-time for, but have never filed tax payments as no tax would be due (I should have though). However, the labor department says next year I should include the tax return for renewal of my work permit. They never asked for it before.
Missing some real jerks but you did have a few of the hateful crowd above. Some of the posters above are respected long term contributors but are extremely unhealthy( past posts determined). I would also be extremely frightened of a virus that almost exclusively kills the physically weak and I try to empathize with their situation.
Remember how they were spouting excess deaths? Not so much the last couple years and seems like many of the countries that were idolized for their adherence to stopping the spread are not doing so well. Remember South Korea spraying the streets with disinfectant and Thailand locals scared to leave their home? Both countries, if they stay on course might even pass the questionable excess deaths in America.
Sadly I don't believe he can. IMO all he can do is re arrange the deckchairs as the good ship SS Western Civilization slips beneath the waves.
At best, he may stave it off for a while longer.
