A more interesting question might be......

"If the Dem Party is so toxic, why did Trump only enjoy a slender majority in the popular vote"?

LOL. I suppose that is a variation on the complaint the first time that he didn't win the popular vote.

Does it matter that he didn't win the popular vote by a larger margin? He still WON. Hurrah that Harris didn't.

I wonder why right-wingers create stupid insults barely disguised as stupid questions.

It is an indication that the Dems are not toxic......obviously the electoral college badly distorts the outcome and gives the impression of a resounding win.....

Just remember this isn't the UN Security Council.

Well, it sorta is.  Only a handful of members have veto powers.  (wink wink)

Yes, absolutely was the case during the war in US and UK, but the Nazis did it on assuming power as a matter of ideology. Industry must serve the state. Hitler met with the leaders of Industry on his first or second day in office to assure them of his intentions (i.e. not state takeover) but it was them coming cap in hand to him, not as the fable goes, the industrial leaders being behind the rise of the Nazis as they saw war profits ahead. Donations to the Nazi party were a matter of pragmatism and against Communism.

arguments as to whether the NSDAP was Left or Right really depends on your definitions.Socialist as defined by intellectuals, it was not, it was however a grassroots working class nationalist party that also attracted the middle classes, as much/more as a bulwark against communism than even Nationalist ideology.

The Left will go out of their way to deny that the NSDAP was a party of the masses or use a definition of Socialism that suits. Anything to carry on the myth that it was supported by big business with war profits in mind and thus that the Right as supposedly the party of Capitalism/big business creates war. Large scale organised capitalism actually reduced wars as economies wealth could be expanded without conquering territory.

The Nazis used "socialism" only as a populist tool to gain support, but their core ideology was far-right: nationalism, authoritarianism, and anti-communism.

Business leaders supported Hitler to maintain power, not out of love for capitalism or to prevent state control—they benefited from state contracts under fascist regulation. The idea that capitalism reduces wars is oversimplified; big business thrives in war economies, as seen with the Nazis.

The NSDAP was not a "working-class nationalist" party but a far-right, authoritarian regime with a dangerous agenda.

For this topic & thread ,its about the losers, the party that was once called the party of JFK the same party that flaunted Martin Luther King civil rights movement and his dream that one day

his children would be judged by their character and not their color of their skin, the opposite of DEI.

The extreme left of Biden, Harris and Obama and the activist pretending to

be journalist working for the many MSM outlets lost in a big way, and those four categories in the OP , is indicative of why!

I thought a career democrat , who could of run for Potus said it best…

“As Joe Manchin prepares to leave Congress after nearly 15 years, the West Virginia senator — who left the Democratic Party and registered as an independent earlier this year — is further distancing himself from his former party, calling the Democratic brand “toxic”.

This is why I love this graphic - it's so fitting.  And it is me.  I voted Democrats or for third-party independents most of my life when I felt their values aligned with mine.  I considered myself an old-school liberal (still do), and yet here on this forum, a whole bunch of the usual suspects have referred to me in terms like "Trump supporter" and "MAGA lover."  I despise predatory capitalism but I'm 100% small business capitalism. I'm pro-worker but not necessarily pro-union.  I was a member of a union once and it sure as hell looked out for the pocket-books of its top members - the rest of us?  Not so much.  Not much difference between a union boss and a corporate executive: they both can be predatory and only look after their own interests. I'm pro-immigration: legal immigration, all those who came in the back door at the expense of those waiting in line legally need to be deported asap.  I'm pro-social-safety net. That doesn't mean I'm a socialist - I'm not.  I'm pro-universal healthcare - privatization of health care is predatory as is the US' current health care system.  I'm pro-H-1B visa to fill in the high-tech STEM skill-sets that are not available in the US population - not to step in front of the line and take jobs from Americans with the same skills. I don't care who you sleep with, or what sex you want to pretend to be, but you can shove your pronouns and leave the children the hell alone.  And I don't like either major party in the US now - I see them as the Uni-Party.  And I believe in term limits and drastic campaign finance reform - $1.5 BILLION dollars spend on Harris presidential bid?  $100 million alone from one donor to Trump!  Millions provided by PACs for congressional candidate?  Elections can be bought by the highest bidders - that needs to end.

So - I'm a "far-right-wing, MAGA, Trump-lover?"  Nope.  But I'm still an old-school liberal which makes me a traditional conservative - everything the far-left and progressives hate. Yep - that's "me" right there.  And the progressive left wayyyyyyyy over there, "Bigot!"

 Exactly.

Then you wonder why people are now crossing party lines and leaving the Democrat party as well as Blue States.

Perhaps a better question would be, "Why are toxic people so attracted to the Democrat party?".

Another stupid "when did you stop feeding your wife" question.

I don't disagree with most of your statements, except:

"The Left will go out of their way to deny that the NSDAP was a party of the masses etc.."

I am leftwing and I would never try to deny these facts, nor would any of my leftwing - or rightwing - friends.

"Large scale organised capitalism actually reduced wars.."

Maybe true, but a little old school whataboutery to start of the new year:

England has been at war with almost every country currently in the UN 😉

Im not on a college debate team, I am arguing with intellectual lightweights on the Internet. Like guys that expound that a steak is bad for your liver, or that Trump is a Russian asset, or that Joe Biden doesnt lie.

Funny how your 'old-school liberal' values always seem to mirror far-right talking points.

Trump is a Russian asset. Period. He is bought and paid for by Putin. Just watch. You will see. He is NOT who you think he is.

This is the result.

Economic growth

Australia's economy grew 0.2% in the June quarter of 2024, but GDP per capita has been falling for six quarters in a row. The economy has been shrinking per person for almost two years, which is the longest downturn since the 1991 recession.

Financial hardship

In January 2024, 34.2% of Australians reported having difficulty making ends meet, which is the highest rate since February 2020.

61% of Americans are reporting financial difficulty. 40% struggle to make ends meet month to month.

Australia's gross government debt is just under $900 billion, $600 billion in American dollars. The US debt is $38 trillion.

All ratings agencies - S&P, Moody's etc. have Australia on a AAA credit rating.

You'll have to try harder if you want to impress me with numbers. Trump will add almost $6 trillion in his next term, which is ten times Australia's current debt.

Oh…this is rich coming from the guy who has long winded comments stored on his computer in order to (re)post them time and time again.
