LTR experience and question about stamp transfer to new passport
It is easy (was 4 me) but your original visa number is NOT written on the new stamp. Make a note of it as it is required on tdac entry form. The visa in old passport is stamped USED. My wife at home, I am in Canada, is searching for other mentions of visas and the online registration is giving me invalid, invalid. Is it me or is the system crashing? I arrive back on 01 05 2025 and expect to spend the day at the airport. -

BREAKING NEWS Carney WINS Canadian Elections
The conclusions were based upon data for the 2021-2022 period. The theft numbers have dropped 20%+ and are still dropping. According to the insurance data there were 57,359 reported car thefts in Canada in 2024. In 2023, there were 70,475. 2025 data indicates a similar trend. It seems that Alberta has a problem because of the ease in which a car can be revinned. Other provinces tightened their rules. Alberta did not. Also, as a wealthier province, it has newer vehicles. Who here follows the financial media?
Just the headline, and maybe an article if I think it relates to me & mine. Though out of the markets. Really have nothing to control, or be controlled by. Kind of liquid, or only have physical assets. I few IRAs that I don't pay attention to. Only pay attention do inflation in USA, or what ever BS number they pull out of that orifice around October, for USA Social Security (retirement fund) yearly COLA. Again, irrelevant, as no control of that. Really don't need to pay attention to much. RE (land goes up), so don't need to pay attention. Exchange rate is what it is, and nothing I do will change that, and rarely fluctuates over 10% any given year. Do need to pay attention to what every bank's limit your account is protected at. Thailand, it is now only 1M, per depositor, per bank. Don't know how safe it is, as system had never been tested, as of late. Stress free ... I like it 😎 -
