Surat Thani airport to Donsak pier

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I booked a flight that will arrive at Surat Thani airport on 24 January at 8:30 pm. I would like to save time and take the ferry early the next day.

Is there still bus or mini van after 9 pm at the airport going to Donsak pier or near?

I checked already but I read on a Reddit post about someone finding mini van after the official time so I would like if it's common

What will you do at the pier at night, no hotel there. Need a hotel in Don Sak then.

There are a couple of small places near the Seatran ferry terminal

eg  Baan Suan Resort

Khao Hua Bon Resort

if there is no mini van or bus at this time, I'm thinking about using Bolt, should be around 700 bahts, is that correct?

I saw some hotel around the pier and I can walk few km if necessary, no problem for this, I can even just wait there, I plan to take the earliest ferry.

If you are coming to Samui by Seatran, there are hotels less than 500 metres from the ferry terminal.

Really my post is not at all about hotels, it is about the transportation to the pier after 9 pm.

I don't see the point in answering a question that is not asked. This hotels thing come from a guy that didn't have an answer but still wanted to say something and asked what I was going to do at the pier at night which is not his business or relevant to the question.

These peoples who have no answers but need to say something are spoiling many topics.

at that time a lot of taxis come to airport and take people. So you can take any of and pay about 1,500-2,000 thb(it is about 90km trip to pier and 1.5hours). plus night hotel close to the pier about 800-1,000 thb.

Either, no far away from airport there are some cheap hotels, there you can stay for night (300-800thb, a bunch of them here https://maps.app.goo.gl/FyyFiE6ZM5YfqyTVA), have free transfer at 7am from hotel to airport or to railway(it is not far away) and go to bus transfer with pantip travel to donsak for about 300-500 thb and have any of ferries, which runs every 1h for 250 thb
