They love Trump, but many on the right loathe the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal he demanded

"But now, some of those who praised Trump in both Israel and the United States are trashing the hostage deal he is championing as he reenters office — and in some cases, they’re criticizing Trump himself.

The wariness comes after reports that Trump and his incoming Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, turned the screws on Netanyahu to get him to say yes to the ceasefire deal. Upon the deal’s announcement, Trump called it “EPIC.”

Alongside Malka, a user on X named Nioh Berg, who has 185,000 followers and identifies as “Anti Woke,” has spent the past couple of days railing against the incoming president she only recently adulated."

And as I kept saying, he's turning soft on China. Not just the Tik Tok reversal from his previous stance but all his "we will solve problems together" talk on his latest phone call. Trump is going to betray his base. And he's going to govern so incompetently that the Democrats sweep congress in 2026 and AOC becomes  president in 2028. Unless by then Trump has a Chinese praetorian guard occupying DC.

IMO, Trump want to keep Tik Tok alive as a bargaining chip with Xi.  Sacrificing a national security threat for something of lesser importance is a foolish and dangerous strategy.

Both Biden and Trump took credit, though, of course Trump claimed it was all due to him; to quote:

"This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,"

You don't think Trump was trying to get a deal for Musk?

This is the right move.  If the cease fire holds and leads to a permanent cessation of hostilities it will weaken Iran's influence in the Middle East.  It really shouldn't matter who is responsible for brokering the deal unless one wants to play politics.

Whoever buys Tik Tok is will find that China's restriction on the use of the social media's algorithm is going to be a major roadblock.  Could be wrong, but I think Musk has already regarded this problem as a no go.

The deal involves giving a 2 year old baby back to its Parents

Palestinians will be handing back a baby that they have been holding for 15 months .

Palestinians will not even let the Parents know whether they baby is dead or alive .

They don't know whether their baby will be dead or alive .

That is the people whom you are dealing with .

Inhumane .

A subspecies, IMO

In the next round Israel will most likely demand that Hamas be replaced as the governing authority in Gaza.  The problem is that no one really knows what shape or form of the entity to replace Hamas.  This needs to be resolved quite soon since it has been reported Hamas is replacing much of it's decimated force with new recruits.  One bright spot is that Hamas will not be getting much help in restocking its arsenal.  Hezbollah has been greatly weakened and Iran's weapons factory in Syria was demolished by Israeli commandos.  No matter what, Hamas needs to go, the sooner the better.

Trump wants to be seen as the deal-maker. Do the details of any deal really matter? Who looks at the details?

And additionally, what if Israel would not follow what they agreed to? Any sanctions from the USA? Of course not. So, what does it really matter what they sign? Israel will continue to do whatever they want, and the USA will let them do whatever they want.

And what do you call it when Israel soldiers kill lots of Palestinian children and babies?

Collateral damage? They didn't really want to kill thousands of children, it was an accident? Or what?

It is the Biden Administration who have worked on this deal fro the last 7-8 months, but Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to wait for Trump take the seat to make it effective.

So Trump and his experts have been involved the last few months

If I recall right, it has always been Hamas who first violated any agreements , with Israel responding to those violations.

The hostages scheduled to be released .

It hasn't been stated as to whether they are dead or live .

They will either  be walking back or coming back dead in boxes .

Part of the nasty Palestinian psychological warfare

Inhumane to keep a baby for over  year  and not even tell the Parents whether their baby is dead or alive .

Returning baby to its Parents and not even informing the Parents whether the baby is still alive .

   That is just inhumane

Indeed. It's abject.

So, exactly what do you expect Israel to do?  Why don't you go over there and convince Hamas to stop using innocent civilians as human shields by hiding out in hospitals, schools and homes.  Yes, it is unfortunate and sad that innocent people are dying, but what is Israel supposed to do?  The world is anxious  to hear your solution.

Come on, if Israel would not have been established in that area, then the current problems wouldn't exist in that area.

It's almost funny when people blame Palestinians for the fact that they want to live where their ancestors lived.

My point was that that issue has been discussed many times before .

Jews also want to live on the land where their ancestors lived .

BUT , we have been asked to stop giving history lessons , so, it may be an idea to get back on topic .

(And by the way, The Philistines are not related to the Palestinians , I just know that you were going to metion them)

But it is all about history, and not just recent history.

Some people pretend the war started in October 2023. That is simply wrong.

I don't know a good solution for the people who live there. Probably there is no good solution. Too many mistakes were made in the past.

What I find sad is that some people look only at the recent year(s) and ignore the history. That is just stupid.

We have already established this .

This current war started on Oct 7 th when Palestine invaded Israel  .

That is this current war, although there have been previous wars prior to this war .

Palestinians are trying to absolve themselves from blame for starting this current war by falsely claiming that the current war began some other time

I guess next you will tell us that on 6th October Israelis and Palestinians lived peaceful together with equal rights and all that.

Yeah, sure, and then suddenly those bad Palestinians had this idea to kill Israelis out of the blue and without any provocation...
