No invitations for UK prime minister Starmer, or UK ambassador designate to the USA, Mandelson. One can only assume the special relationship between the US and the UK is so special that invitations are considered trivial and unnecessary. Or something like that.....

Career government workers are being screened for their loyalty to Trump.

He's completely un-American.

It's supposed to be about loyalty to the constitution, not loyalty to dear leader.

So people voted for this to lower egg prices. They won't even get that.

Expand

If they're Executive department appointments, they should be screened.

How many employees got canned under Obama and Biden?

Hypocrite.

Stop lying. Talking about career non political employees.

What Trump is doing to them is what fascist dictators do.

Are they appointed or not appointed? If they are appointments, they are fair game.

How many employees got canned under Obama and Biden? I think Obama s-canned three times as many as Trump in his first term. Live and learn.

Are you talking Federal employees?

The federal workforce slightly declined during Obama’s presidency, primarily due to budget constraints, efficiency measures, and the gradual reduction of jobs related to military drawdowns in Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the civilian federal workforce shrank from approximately 2.1 million employees in 2009 to about 2.0 million by 2016.

Every president gets a portion of political appointments.

I'm obviously talking about CAREER non political people.

Trump (see Project 2025) intends to fire as many non-loyal to Trump regular employees as he can get away with.

Many of course will just quit or early retire in disgust.

Truly fascist stuff.

I am talking about Executive department appointments. They are (coincidentally) federal employees.

And again, I think Obama fired and replaced three times as many as Trump did in his first term.

There was no widespread or systematic effort to lay off executive department appointees.

Obama’s administration focused on efficiency and reducing waste in government.

Political appointees were less likely to face layoffs compared to career employees, as their roles were tied directly to the

Obama’s agenda.

No union employee will be fired for not supporting Trump.

If they refuse to help implement a policy when it is their job to help implement it because they disagree, they should be fired.

Trump did not win in a landslide.

Trump did not even win a majority of the votes.

Are you illiterate and do not understand what a landslide win is?

Harris 75,019,257 votes (48.4%)       Trump  77,303,573 votes (49.9%)

Yes, Trump received more votes that Harris and  won the electoral college allocation of votes.

This does not make it a landslide victory.

For reference sake a landslide presidential election result was;

Lincoln v. McClellan

Reagan v. Carter

Nixon v. McGovern

Reagan v. Mondale

FDR v. Landon
