What did the great Bod Dylan say about propaganda?

Maybe the PM is planning to allocate an armed police person or soldier to protect every single Chinese tourist.

What about the Western tourist who made LOS a tourist hub

Next it will be the Russians and Indians along with the Arabs.

The Chinese already have their own security courtesy of the Triads and brown envelopes.

Chinese people do not really help they are just a noisy, ignorant, selfish bunch who annoy everyone.

Has COVID slipped the governments eyes?

Stayed in Suk. Soi 11 for a few days this week and found the change of scenery striking. Gone were the packs of Chinese, they had been replaced by tall and blond vikings, many with their families, a pleasant sight. Probably seasonal though, and difficult to understand the motivation, there is plenty of good skiing in Europe this year. I wouldn't have missed such opportunity for a dirty and somewhat hostile place as Thailand is these days.

In a bid to revive confidence among Chinese tourists planning to visit Thailand, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is set to deliver a personal safety assurance message. This move comes amid rising concerns that have led to numerous cancellations during the Chinese New Year period, a popular time for travel.

So what has she actually done to make it safer... details not words of comfort ?

These efforts follow a significant meeting at Government House aimed at countering fears and restoring Thailand’s image as a safe tourist destination.

Laughable... the image of Thailand is well known and continuously used by scammers.

In an innovative approach, Ms Paetongtarn has announced she will use artificial intelligence to translate a video message into Chinese, directly addressing potential visitors.

She has to use AI as her officials are useless.

So she says she was almost scammed by someone using "deepfake voice-cloning AI" - and now is going to use "deepfake voice-cloning AI" to try and convince the Chinese that they should keep coming to Thailand ?

"On Wednesday, the premier revealed she was recently targeted by a scam caller who posed as another country's leader using AI voice cloning. The bogus government leader informed her that she had yet to make an expected donation."

That tech is going to cause some serious problems for a lot of people in the future.

Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong

I remember his father, Sanoh Thienthong, a very successful Chinese businessman/Politician. No wonder the Chinese get preferential treatment to us Westerners.

The prime minister has labelled the current safety concerns as mere "rumours," possibly spread by ill-intentioned information operations (IOs). However, she did not elaborate on who might be orchestrating these narratives.

So not based on statistics and actual events then? 🤔
