Have you been scammed/overcharged at 7-11?

Featured Replies

I’ve never been scammed at 7-11 but I’m being scammed by a company purporting to supply a 100%  legal car driver’s licence for 2500.

I couldn’t be bothered to sit through the boring how not to drive video after watching it for the last 3 times I’ve renewed my licence so I asked about their service.

2500 seemed fair but after paying and providing photos and address etc they asked for 4900 for the QR code from the transportation authority. I was getting worried it was a scam but got reassured and paid. They then said they refund my money into my account once I’d paid the final proof of transfer of 6700 and the money would be in my account in 10 minutes and the licence couriered to me today.

After coming this far I thought I’d see it through even though they’d lied to me and stupidly I paid and as expected they then asked for a final proof of transaction of 9999!!!

I haven’t paid and would be 24,189 out of pocket if I did. I’ve asked for my money back but no response.

Anyone had similar issues?

Like I said, it happened when I was in a rush or busy and only realized that I was overcharged later when I counted the items. I'm not new to Thailand and can remember the price of each item that I bu

I should have started a separate topic but couldn’t work out how to do it

Now I understand how this scam works. For those of you naive souls wondering how a cashier can benefit from that, here's how it is. When she adds some "nonexistent" item to your bill and you pay for it, then guess what - she keeps the item for herself. That's her profit. Every time they do this scam by adding something to your bill, they get "free" items for themselves.
