Not sure what point, if any, you are trying to make; individual members of a population do not sign the Paris Accord, the country in which they live signs.

So the per capita numbers do nothing to alter the fact that China is responsible for almost a third of the CO2 emissions of the 195 countries of the world.

It is not the fault of the rest of the world that China has a population of 1.4 billion, which nicely massage the per capita numbers.

The phrase, ostensibly referring to language or action that is designed to avoid offence or harm to protected groups, has become a sharp criticism. It is synonymous with a sort of cultural McCarthyism, usually committed by the left.

When I worked in San Francisco there was a brilliant coworker in R&D probably had a PhD and experience working at startups that referred to himself as "they/them".

I thought he was joking until I went to a famous cheap-but-not-so-good local pizza place in Berkeley that had the same sign about calling their employees they/them until you know their gender.

First of all, this makes no sense. They them refers to multiple people, not a single person.

I don't care what someone does in their spare time but it seems like if you think you're multiple people then you're suffering from a mental disorder, not me.

So yeah.

As much as Bubba and Lorleen like to get drunk and see a brunch drag show every time they drive down to Nashville from Possum Holler, Kentucky putting such an emphasis on "bending over backwards" for less than 1% of the population doesn't make sense politically.

PC is used as a slur by little kids who don't know what the word means, just what they heard on the playground.

Politically correct = Polite, respectful, Christian

Woke = Not asleep, not deceased

That mean old Bogan kid from Australia been spreading his lies on playgrounds all over the world.

Go ahead and believe that being polite and respectful to others that are different than you and alive and awake is....

"Bad."

Did you believe everything you heard on the playground when you were a kid? 😁

I did not say that.

It's called a hypothetical question, and I don't smoke.

Actually, there are some people who don't feel comfortable with their born sex.

And if a guy wants to play a woman or a woman wants to play a guy, let them do that.

The problem is when people pretend trans women are real women. They are obviously not real women.

Just call them trans, and don't allow them in women only activities like women sport or women clubs or whatever and all is fine.

Living in Thailand for many years most of us know that we can all live in peace together, independent of he, she, or something in between.

Personally I have no problems with trans people.  The trans community in many case assimilates well into Thai society. And they should be allowed to assimilate into other countries.  Want I can't abide by is trans activism in the form of laws that require you to use "proper pronouns" or allow biological males to beat the hell out of women competitors in sports or force women to shut up and allow some swinging dick to shower with women...and worse...girls  - all at the threat of prison if you don't comply.

Those days of trans activism have to end.  At least in the US they have ended for 4 more years.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Not sure the Prophets were suggesting people should victimise, ostracise, subjugate, marginalise, mock, ridicule and taunt others....but maybe they did?

Why not just live and let live......!

How does this make total sense? In the US about 1 in 2000 people or over 170,000 are born intersex, with no defined reproductive organs.

A former authoritarian and oppressive regime in the 1930s started by using laws and policies to deny the existence and rights of individuals who didn’t conform to their rigid ideals of 'biological norms' under their Rassenhygiene or 'racial purity' policy.

And we all know how that ended for them.

America moves backwards. - "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable

Why do you falsely claim that America is moving backwards because its policy is to recognise two sexes ? There are only two biological sexes, male and female; this is factual, and immutable. It has nothing to do with the claims of myriad genders, that issue is both arguable and extremely complex.

However, the sex of a human is decided at conception, and recognised at birth, and there are only two sexes, male, and female; so your claim is both unfair, and scientifically unfounded.

If you have a specific designation that you want to be referred to as wear a name tag that states it. Otherwise I will state what appears to be obvious, and if you don't like it not my issue, that's your issue.

"The sex of a baby is determined by its chromosome make-up at conception. An embryo with two X chromosomes will become a girl, while an embryo with an X-Y combination results in a boy,"

"The Y chromosome carries a critical gene, called SRY, which acts on another gene called SOX9 to start the development of testes in the embryo. High levels of the SOX9 gene are needed for normal testis development.

"However, if there is some disruption to SOX9 activity and only low levels are present, a testis will not develop resulting in a baby with a disorder of sex development."

"Importantly, we identified XX patients who would normally have ovaries and be female but carried extra copies of these enhancers, (high levels of SOX9) and instead developed testes. In addition, we found XY patients who had lost these SOX9 enhancers, (low levels of SOX9) and developed ovaries instead of testes."

It was not about sexuality at all; it was your claim that America is moving backwards because it only recognises two sexes, male and female; nothing whatsoever to do with sexuality, or sexual orientation for that matter, if that is your implication.

Resorting to calling me narrow minded and bigoted, because I believe in scientifically and biologically proven facts, merely serves to make you look ill informed, angry and petulant.

So China who signed, and are committed to the Paris Accord, are, from the lates figures I could find, responsible for 32.88% of the World’s CO2 emissions, while the US who are withdrawing from the Accord, are only responsible for 12.60% ……….. being a signatory certainly doesn’t seem to have harnessed China’s unquenchable hunger for more and more coal fuelled power stations does it ¯\_()_/¯

So with the Chinese population 4X that of the USA if they increase per capita CO2 emissions to that of the USA they will be over 50% of world emissions.

How can you possibly claim that it is not about sexuality? Sexuality is at the very heart of it. If this only about gender Trump would not even have needed to broach this subject.

Trump is a bigoted homophobic. Nothing more, nothing less.

At least he should get on well with Putin.

If you have penis and vagina, yes, please choose, but still for everyone else, you got your chromosomes, you have your sex. Still you are free to choose whatever you want, and if you feel your need for toilet is different than your sex, use the unisex toilet (Handicap)

You have to ask them.

I was born male and feel male and like female, for me it is not difficult to accept that.

But I remember some time ago I met a nice girl. Except she wasn't a girl. I asked her and she told me she had the full operation when she was 16. She looks like a girl and behaves like a girl. Fine with me.

Live and let live.

Fine with me, it is when the society have to pay for their ops, other costs, as well the byrocrazy that comes with it, the Reps gets provoked.

For me personally, I do not care

But to be true, when males want to compete in female sports, I am provoked, or a trans wants to shower with little girls, there is something inside me that also gets provoked

I am pretty sure most of us agree with you.

Unfortunately, there are some very loud radical activists. And many people who are scared to confront those activists.

As much as I dislike Trump, I hope his current policy will help America and the rest of the world to ignore those radical activists.

Lots of ladyboys here in Thailand. Is it really a problem?

I couldn't care less how someone wants to identify themselves.

How do you feel about a male dressed as a woman being in your wife or daughter's toilet or changing room?  How do you feel about being forced to say that someone who is clearly male is a woman?  That's where the problems come up.

I do not accept that I have 'missed the point' at all. Trump was using the gender word simply to mask the true meaning of his comment. The man is clearly homophobic.

'Trump has launched at least 225 attacks on LGBTQ+ rights since first becoming president'.

Not to mention the unreliability of the Chinese population numbers. They add in things like "guesses" as to the number of children hidden away from authorities during their one child policy. Several analyses have concluded from proxy statistics that their real population could be as low as 800 million. Higher population not only depresses their per capita numbers, but also helps to attract capital from those believing the Chinese economy has more growth potential than it really does.
