Popular Post Social Media Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 King Charles III has personally congratulated President Donald Trump on his inauguration, highlighting the enduring bond between the United Kingdom and the United States. The 76-year-old monarch sent a handwritten letter to Trump, marking the beginning of his second term as the 47th president of the United States. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the private message was delivered to Trump on Monday. In his letter, King Charles reflected on the "enduring special relationship between the UK and US." Although no state visit has been scheduled yet, it's understood that the possibility remains open for later in the year. Typically, invitations for foreign political figures and monarchs to visit the UK are extended based on the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with the ultimate decision resting with the UK government. Given Trump’s strong ties to the British royal family, a visit to the UK could be on the horizon. President Trump, now 78, has expressed admiration for the British royals on numerous occasions. During his first term, he met the late Queen Elizabeth II and described having "automatic chemistry" with her. He also spoke warmly of King Charles, calling him a “really wonderful guy.” Trump’s affinity for the British monarchy was further demonstrated during his recent meeting with Prince William at the newly reopened Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Looking ahead, there’s speculation that King Charles and Queen Camilla might receive an invitation to Washington, DC, to attend the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence next year. Such an event would further symbolize the strong ties between the two nations. Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also extended his congratulations to Trump. In a statement released Monday, Starmer said, “On behalf of the United Kingdom, I send my warmest congratulations to President @realDonaldTrump on his inauguration as the forty-seventh President of the United States.” He further emphasized the importance of the UK-US bond, stating, “The special relationship between the UK and the US will continue to flourish for years to come.” This warm exchange of congratulations underscores the continued diplomatic ties and mutual respect between the UK and US leadership, setting a positive tone for future collaborations. He was being protected by the Democrats. Markle is trying to climb their greasy pole but it seems she is too fake for even them to accept. 1 1
soalbundy Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Special relationship? Like the special relationship that I have with my dog. I realize King Charles must demean himself to this man who has no dignity due to political concerns, a man who as the president of the USA still sells $Donald Trump crypto coins like a market vendor at a fish market. 1 1

Watawattana Posted January 23 Posted January 23 King Charles Privately Congratulates Donald Trump, Praises UK-US ‘Special Relationship’ Not exactly private if it's being announced in the NYP. It'll be into the Tower of London for whoever leaked that! 😆 1

Hopefully, you love and care for your canine companion. King Charles is doing what he must to benefit the UK and to salvage a precarious relationship that the UK has with the USA. Although Labour is in large part the cause of the problem, the Conservatives contributed, and Farage and Co., are not helping. If Charles and Camilla must make nice with the bully, then that's what they will do as they put duty above all else.
Cryingdick Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Not sure what the UK actually offers the USA? They have no major tech, no resources, no backbone. When time of war comes around we actually have to shoot through the Brits to get to the bad guys. 1 3
KhunLA Posted January 25 Posted January 25 " highlighting the enduring bond between the United Kingdom and the United States " That ended 249 years ago. Now we're just a tourist destination for each other, USA & UK. 1
