For me it's a mix. I work on my PC. And sometimes I want a break. Then I will likely look here. And depending on how much work I have, I take more or less times for those breaks.

I'm sadly addicted to reading the distressing daily posts about air pollution and road accidents.  If there was no AN (or social media) I think I'd be happier (and oblivious).

Couldn't care less about your ignore list and I am not interested as to whether I am on it or not as it doesn't have any effect on me at all .    Makes absolutely no difference to me at all

I have had two death threats. The posters responsible were banned.

I am somewhat bewildered by people who can get so worked up about a topic they would actually threaten to kill someone. They have to have some serious mental issues.

Did they threaten to bore you to death?

I originally came on Thaivisa mainly for the immigration/visa updates after having fallen foul of a change i was not aware of. I also look at serious Thai news (not every murder and road accident) and for the rare informative thread. Unfortunately of late a lot of threads are just reposts of existing ones or clickbait. Also the forum has become rather dominated by political hatred, no point debating that because those posters just do not want to know any alternative view.

The fact that you replied this way belies your response.

It's pretty clear you felt the need to respond so in fact you DO care.

Well done.

Honestly, I don't care whether he want to put me on his ignore list .

Stating  that,  that doesn't mean that I do care about it .

Saying that you don't care about something, actually means that you do care about it ?

  Twisted logic there

If you don't care why did you bother to reply?

Sorry. I'm not buying it.

Now.......will you bother to reply to me thereby again proving how little you care?

Do you understand your conundrum now?

Agreed on every point. Other than news of visa process changes and the new tax topics nothing much is germane to me.

I let 10 or so editions accumulate and then burn thru them in a few minutes in case there is actually some useful content.

Of course all the details of Thai people and tourists killing/maiming/cheating each other in various ways is hardly news. More and more AN sounds like a large city's daily police report.

Repeat and ongoing perennial topics are a waste of time . The political bile is splattered on virtually every topic eventually. Mostly seems to be terminally bored or intrinsically antagonistic people wasting each other's time.

Often now I ask myself why I bother any more. Since this is the only social media I have ever indulged in or ever will, I'm thinking it's time to cut the cord completely and spend that time on more productive pursuits, such as scratching my a$$.

When I came here years ago ThaiVISA forum was helpful, informative, and entertaining. This new incarnation we have now, not so much.

Lately AN seems to be trying extra hard to justify its own existence.

If this post (I accidentally typed 'pist' and now that seems more appropriate) gets me banned then so be it. In any event it's honest feedback from a long-time reader.

I think some get worked-up about the topic, while others get worked-up because they can't cope with the idea that another person dares to question their authority, disagree with them, or tell them they are wrong.

Hello team sort of related to the topic I started, I thought I was getting addicted to the forums with the amount of posts I have made this week hence the topic so checked the stats, and I am on rookie figures 🙂
@Jingthing how is it even possible to make 130,890 posts in a week, have you automated AN? 🙂
Averages out to about approximately 4.6 posts per second, their servers must be going haywire 🤣

Looks like you are on everyone's ignore list. Congratulations on the achievement.

Much appreciated do I get a badge for that?

Don't use AN much. Used to for news, but it's either depressing or the same thing, different day. Maybe every few months or less. Have stopped watching the news in general, X, FB, or any other social media now. It's YT 99% now online. Or doing something else.

I don't live in Thailand, yet, but regardless...

If you quit today, nobody cares,

Where is Thaibeachlovers?

I have a steady countdown to my own detox going full on turkey, and sure it will please a few in here knowing Im leaving. Forum become to stupid lately.
