entry Thailand without return ticket

Featured Replies

I am staying in Thailand since more than 20 years with a Non Imm O (retirement) visa which expires on April 4th.

I need to go to my home country for cancer treatment next week and very likely I will be unable to return before April 4th.

It is still too early to apply at Immigration Office here for an extension of my Non Imm O visa but I should be able get a visa waiver upon entry and then restart the visa extension procedures (I have 800.000 THB in the bank)

Can I enter Thailand with a one way ticket?

Somehow your post was not addressed.

Think your plan of "starting over" from visa exempt entry is best option..

Yes too early to apply for extension.

Don't worry about for Non O retirement the funds need to be from abroad .

As your funds have been in Thai bank for some time immigration will overlook that.

Be aware that you can obtain eVisa Non O retirement in home country prior to return.

Having a visa would avoid need for onward flight.

If you opt to fly to Thailand visa exempt look into options for onward flight requirements.

One option is rent a ticket.
