He didn’t agree or disagree to the ceasefire

Well, Vladimir is forced to act cautiously. Of course, he approves of many things in tovarisch Trump's actions. The previous leader of America behaved very rudely with the Russians, believing that America was above this. Tovarisch Trump agreed to equal negotiations. However, such harmful American ideas as the introduction of NATO troops into Ukraine still sound from his lips. Vladimir does not like this very much and is looking for a way to gradually convince Tovarisch Trump of the correctness of Z ideas. However, this takes time - so Vladimir is in no hurry.

They are crowing in the Kremlin.

Appearing on The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov on Tuesday evening, state TV experts didn’t hide their joy over what was happening. State Duma Deputy Andrey Lugovoy—one of the prime suspects in the poisoning of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko—commented, “Regardless of what happens in the near future, I can state with a full responsibility that we, Russia, have completely won the rematch of the unfortunate outcome of the Cold War, as a result of which the Soviet Union had fallen apart.”

The wet sweet dream of our leader, Vladimir, is to restore the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, ordinary people in Russia and Ukraine have not yet wanted to return to the Soviet Union enough. This is a big problem because Vladimir has nothing to ask from tovarisch Trump, who is ready to cooperate. He cannot ask for the Soviet Union back because people do not yet want it yet. That is why Vladimir sometimes responds too slowly to Trump’s readiness.

Glad to see that the media resources in Russia are trying to help people understand and love their bright Soviet future.

'Everything is finished': Ukrainian troops relive retreat from Kursk

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0q198zyppqo

The soldier predicted Ukraine's entire foothold in Kursk would be lost but that "from a military point of view, the Kursk direction has exhausted itself. There is no point in keeping it any more".

Western officials estimate that Ukraine's Kursk offensive involved about 12,000 troops. They were some of their best-trained soldiers, equipped with Western-supplied weapons including tanks and armoured vehicles.

Russian bloggers published videos showing some of that equipment being destroyed or captured. On 13 March, Russia said the situation in Kursk was "fully under our control" and that Ukraine had "abandoned" much of its material.

When the history of this senseless war is written, the pipeline ambush operation will be remembered as its most audacious and bold action—proof that when collapse happens, it happens amazingly fast. As Ernest Hemingway famously wrote, 'How did you go bankrupt? Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.'

I made a similar point in the lead-up to Trump’s election, when I unequivocally predicted that his presidency which was almost guaranteed would change everything. And here we are—everything has changed.

With forced withdrawal, Russia takes away Ukraine's Kursk cards - Zelensky had gambled on being able to trade land in Russia for the return of land in Ukraine. That failed. Ian Proud - RESPONSIBLE STATECRAFT

Nevertheless, if reports are true, it offers further proof of Russia’s penchant for encirclement, going back to World War II, and the encirclement of the German army outside of Stalingrad. All across the Ukrainian front line during 2024, Russian forces have mounted a series of small tactical encirclements to capture villages and towns. Pro-Russian military bloggers were gleeful that the Kursk encirclement was made possible by gas pipes that were empty because of Ukraine’s decision to halt Russian gas transit to Europe as of January 1.

On a lighter note some with long memories may remember Ian Proud he was head of  PolSec at the British Embassy in Thailand in the early noughties who made the mistake of leaving comments open on his valedictory when he left the posting and folks remebered some of his epic bar crawls in should we say less salubrious places !
