Musk a peacemaker?

:cheesy:

If there was an award for getting the taxpayers to make someone very rich Musk would be a shoo in.

The nomination cited Musk for being an advocate of free speech, not peace-making.

Trolling from an unimportant political Putin stooge.

He joins another stooge, the PM of Slovakia Robert Fico  who was trying to  cause a panic with his hysterical warnings of an energy crisis in Central Europe if Russian gas was cut off. There are no gas shortages and Slovakia’s reserves are more than three-quarters full, above the seasonal average, while EU member countries that previously depended on Russian pipeline gas, namely Austria and the Czechia, also have healthy volumes in storage.

Putin is still trying to manipulate and to interfere.

Really!  What's Musk ever done to earn a peace prize?

It's not like he ordered the execution of American citizens by drone strike without a trial.

Grims has often been a controversial figure in Slovenian politics due to his hardline stance on immigration and his vocal criticism of left-wing political movements. Grims has also been a proponent of stricter border controls and policies aimed at preserving Slovenian national identity.

It's bit like Kwasi Kwarteng.....pushing for Liz Truss to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Economic Sciences.

freedom of speech and thus for peace

Really? Freedom of speech = peace, personally I see people go to war every day on AN when one person expresses their views with one opinion against another group of the community that has the opposite point of view.

And Elon Musk I wish he would just go to Mars and leave the Earth in peace.

It's a stupid award. Look at past winners. The EU won it once 😄

Musk is a great man. A pioneer of technology and free speech. If he wins he should refuse to collect it. It is not worthy of his name.

Yasser Arafat won it and he was a terrorist so Musk will in good company!!

I think her crowning achievement was, without doubt, ensuring the Tories will not see Downing Street again for a generation....if at all.......now that is quite some going.

Hahaha and very true, the Labour option doesn't seem that appealing either!  The UK are definitely in limbo!

Quite right too!  Musk literally spent billions to change Twitter from a left-wing propaganda hell-hole into a platform for freedom and openness.  He didn't have to do that and it's had an unmeasurably positive impact on the world.

You are a funny man, well done.

Elon Musk this year, then Joe Rogan next year.  They were both instrumental in increasing freedom of speech and Trump getting re-elected.

It wasn’t all his money, he was backed by the Saudis.

Only an idiot would believe they put their money in to promote freedom of speech.

Unfortunately there’s no shortage of those.

Are you seriously making the wild claim that Twitter is not now far more free?

Not a great fan of this Labour, but, they've only been in power for a few months, so I'll give them more of a chance.

Hilarious that you can accuse someone making a wild claim when you just made the wildest and most ridiculous of all wild claims:

Musk literally spent billions to change Twitter from a left-wing propaganda hell-hole into a platform for freedom and openness.  He didn't have to do that and it's had an unmeasurably positive impact on the world."
