Pattaya's Tourism Surge: 40 Billion Baht Investment on the Horizon
You can build all the upscale hotels and attractions you want, unfortunately it won't elevate the general state of the city when the public sector is stuck in a time warp of corrupt inefficiency and deliberate low quality service provision. -

I love the internet but it's filled with so much garbage and lies now
No ,we need to keep the government out, if they are in control we will only get what they want us to see. Bad enough with the corporate news outlets. They have managed to close off most Russian news sources calling it propaganda while calling their own propaganda news. -

We'll know that something useful is happening - instead of just talk - when 1000 farmers & bus company owners appear in court for minimum 5-years-jail sentencing. Don't hold your breath (unless you live in Bangers). -

Will DOGE Be Effective In Cutting Wasteful Spending?
Hopefully, this won't be our last Social Security payment tomorrow. I filed my 2024 return last week, hope to get my refund before Elon impounds it. Top Treasury official retires over DOGE request for access to payment systems David Lebryk, a top Treasury Department nonpolitical career official, retired Friday after clashing with Elon Musk allies over government payment systems, a source familiar with the matter told The Hill on condition of anonymity. The Washington Post first reported on Lebryk’s departure, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Upon his inauguration, President Trump had appointed Lebryk acting Treasury secretary while nominee Scott Bessent was waiting to be confirmed. The systems control $6 trillion annually, distributed as Social Security, Medicare, salaries for federal workers, payments to government contractors, payments to grant recipients and tax refunds. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5119996-david-lebryk-retirement-treasury-doge-musk/ -

Democracy is Failing the Young – No Wonder They Want Change
You are obviously clueless. Having lived for years in the “west”, I was amazed at how far advanced even 2nd tier cities in China are compared to many western capitals. For eg, free MTR travel for above 60’s, regardless of nationality. Most things are not free of course but at such low prices, the value for money is incomparable.
