What they class as abuse is ANY criticism of their silly book and their murdering, slave owning, child abusing fake prophet, not posting bacon rashers through a letter box.

You did read the OP?

Actually other religious ethnic groups enjoy legal protections against abuse.

That hasn’t ushered in any blasphemy laws.

I'm not sure what Islamophobia means.

I can understand and agree that British Muslims should share the protection, rights and privileges of their fellow Britons.Antisemitism is a different category because it is based on racial prejudice rather than disrespect for Judaism as a religion. The Nazis murdered millions of Jews because they were Jews not because of their religion - in fact many had no religion.Christianity has no special protection in the UK and indeed is frequently criticized by people like Richard Dawkins. No blasphemy laws are needed. All religions should be equally respected and be subject to criticism. If criticism descends into an offense against public order, then the laws of the land apply.

Labour determined, one way or another, to hold on to Muslim votes. Without them they would struggle to win in many constituencies in the UK.

The exact same playbook in the US. Your vote as American is worthless because they just import new voters and bribe them (using your tax dollars of course).

Some were. Big enough to be a violent movement that spreads across Europe.

Not many in the UK

Not to be confused with White power skinhead.
Skinhead

Years active    1960s–present
Country    United Kingdom
A skinhead or skin is a member of a subculture that originated among working-class youth in London, England, in the 1960s. It soon spread to other parts of the United Kingdom, with a second working-class skinhead movement emerging worldwide in the late 1970s. Motivated by social alienation and working-class solidarity, skinheads are defined by their close-cropped or shaven heads and working-class clothing such as Dr. Martens and steel toe work boots, braces, high rise and varying length straight-leg jeans, and button-down collar shirts, usually slim fitting in check or plain.

People won't admit it but they really are in fact racist and don't want to live around Arabs and Africans so they make it about religion. It's not the religion if you ask me. Even if you turned them all Christians you would have same the culture and racial tensions. I don't think "Islamophobia" would be a thing if Muslims were fellow Europeans merely practicing  a different religion.

Real skinheads

No. Mod/Ska/TwoTone. The Specials were a multicultural group, a response to racist stereotypes much like The Equals and another group whose name eludes me at the moment in the 60s.

Not everyone with a short haircut is a skinhead.

I love Africans, but am not that keen on Muslims.

You do realise one is not necessarily the other?

Has Angela thought of telling Muslims not to stab white folk and their children, or drive their cars through Xmas crowds? If they stopped doing that sort of thing maybe the rest of the population would be a bit more accepting of them.

That would make her a far right racist bigot though!

The purpose of the proposal is the define  Islamophobia.

I'd define it as a dislike/fear for people that stab/rape/groom white people and their children.

A lot of people voted Labour simply because they wanted to get rid of the Conservatives and they wanted change unfortunately that change doesn't appear to have been for the better.

Unless things change drastically I cant see them winning a second term there are a lot of disenchanted voters out there.

I just hope Farage doesn't win or the UK could end up as the 51st state

Are we not at liberty to say we simply don't want to live around men who wear robes and women dressed like mailboxes? I wouldn't want to live in southern Thailand or Indonesia for this same reason. You only get one life and can live in so many places so we should be able to chose according to our preferences.

Not possible unless you have a definition for other religions too and then you might as well call it what it is - blasphemy.  Most people have a rational fear of terrorists and of their daughters being raped or butchered by Islamists, so calling it a phobia is nonsensical.   No religion should be immune from mockery or criticism.   Once you remove the phobia from the word and accept we should not have blasphemy laws we are left with simple racism.   We already have laws for that.   No new definition required.

I think it's still OK to dislike or fear such people.

It's only if you come out and actually say it that it becomes a problem. Even worse if you do it on social media.

This is simply another measure to silence people. Essentially, Labour are saying "Shut up and stop complaining about what we are allowing to happen to your country or we will label you a racist and then jail you".

I believe it will backfire.

It's about protecting minorities. I welcome it.

Why should we let skinheads and racists destroy the society we have in the UK. The muslim population are not going away. So it's best we harmonise and live together.

There were a raft of laws, that quite rightly protected the Jewish community too. This is about time needed.

If you are a racist i can see why it would annoy you. But tough, there was an election in which Labour talked about these measures. Vote Farage and his 5 MP's , including someone who beat his girlfriend up.

This is a very judgemental post the problem is the minority are more protected than the "majority"

It doesn't mean you are racist if you are going to vote for Nigel Farage and the reform party not sure where you got that piece of garbage from, it is about protecting national sovereignty and implementing sensible policies around integration and immigration and reversing the Woke state policies that seem to be implemented on a daily basis now.

Fair point on the 5 seats on the Reform party currently hold but given the current polling if they held an election tomorrow he would be the UK's next prime minister so possibly turn down a little your left wing socialist views and accept the change that you can't fight and will inevitably happen in the UK.

As for Labour talking about stuff I would agree there that's all they do! Create stupid policies that just alienate the people from their own government even more.

Can't help with you wanting to beat your girlfriend up you must be angry!
I would also suggest you are skin-headist just because someone cuts their hair short that makes them a racist? Is that not just as bad as saying all Muslims are rapists and child murderers?

So you are unhappy because you feel your ability to be racist or burn a holy book is being infringed upon ?

Could you please point out where in his comment that you were replying to, he said that he wanted to be racist or burn a holy book … thanks

And if you can’t, then don’t pretend he said something that he didn’t, just so that you can attack him for something he didn’t say; it is called flaming and is against forum rules.

I would say " would the last sensible person emigrating from the UK turn off the lights and lock the front door. '

However , the many entering by the back door will turn on the lights and unlock the front door for their arriving families convenience. so not much point.
