I do agree that I don't like to depend upon AI for any writing because it's more trouble than it's worth.

Yes, there is truth to that.

I just watched a youtube video of a guy retired in cambodia. 

He keeps popping into thailand for visits. He probably can't meet the requirements for Thailand.

 

However, that visa in Cambodia is way better and way  less hassle than Thai visas.

One year visa, no reporting, and you are allowed to work and even do business.

Jim had never been to Cambodia before but he knew how rough it could be, but it was either that or face being murdered by his girlfriends brother. So naturally Jim chose the former and boarded the plane to Cambodia.

 

Knowing that he could never return to Thailand for fear of being killed, nor could he return home due to burning his bridges with his family, Jim now feels like he is at the end of the line. Cambodia seems to be the last stop on Jim's sad journey, where drugs, guns, booze, and sin are all available, night and day. He will likely die alone, in his tiny shoebox apartment from a lethal cocktail of drugs and alcohol.

 

Cambodia, at least to me, seems like the end of the Line for many expats who move to South East Asia. Mostly for those with no better options available to them. That is not to say that one day I wont become like Jim myself, I could think of a lot worse places to be than Cambodia, but once you move there then that's most likely it I reckon.

Seems like many who lives in Thailand wish they didnt settle here as well, and now they are either to old to move, or stuck here with investments, wife kids and cant just run away.

It depends how you read it, and I answered another post related to the same. 

 

I think more people should consider what they do when they give up a life in one country for another, and not think  everything will be easy, and do not consider future obatacles like stronger bath, new terms and rules for visa and stay, and also world politics. 

 

Cambodia have great developments for the moment with huge investments done by China, and that should tell us about where this is heading, or is it mainly Good?

The inverse is sometimes also true.

People should consider that life can get progressively worse back home staying in your apparent comfort zone which is sometimes an illusion. And take a leap of faith and move abroad.
