A two-year-old boy had a miraculous escape after he tripped and fell while playing, only to be run over by a car. The incident on 4 February, which occurred in Sri Thep District, Phetchabun Province, was captured on CCTV and later shared on social media.

The child, referred to only as “A”, was playing football with other children near a local market when he lost his footing and fell to the ground. A white car approached at the same moment, and despite shouts from other children attempting to alert the driver, the car failed to stop and ran over the toddler. Fortunately, due to his small size, he became trapped underneath the vehicle rather than being crushed.

In the footage, the child can be heard crying in distress as bystanders, including his grandmother, rushed to his aid. Emergency responders arrived swiftly and provided first aid before transporting the boy to Sri Thep Hospital. He sustained minor injuries, including bruising and abrasions to his wrist, knee, right shoulder, and forehead.

Rescue worker Nattachakichanan Yodsawai, who responded to the scene, confirmed that the incident took place near the Sri Thep bus station market. He urged parents to closely supervise young children, particularly in busy public areas, to prevent similar incidents.

The boy’s grandmother, who had taken him to the market, expressed her relief that he was not more seriously injured. She also urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant when watching over their children.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine if further action is necessary.
