MalcolmB Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago 1 minute ago, Bkk Brian said: Can you provide a link to that claim? Obviously not if it didn’t happen with soldiers other than Israeli soldiers. I have never seen or heard of for example “UK people banned” outside of Thai businesses. But it happens with Israelis. 1

They banned them because they were sick of their behavior, which was similar behavior that is reported in the OP. 1 1

Each to their own, but I find some of the Western older guys behaviour in Pattaya to be a lot worse than the Israelis , you know, the no condom disease spreaders who don't care about girls getting pregnant and just want have condom free sex . You know anyone like that Mal ?

Hellfire Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago They want Israelis to leave Israel so they can arrange another hell on earth (syria style) on the former israeli lands. Never! Don’t you even dream about it!

Oh, you have misunderstood. i was saying that the reason so many Thai businesses banned Thais in the southern islands so often in the past was a result of the poor behavior of the IDF soldiers.
TedG Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The 3000 bath fine is nothing for a tourist. These fines need to hurt. 1

Israelis do have mandatory service (with exceptions) for men, women, trans, and intersex but presumably some would serve non-potential combat roles depending on their particulars. They get a chunk of money after service so If you see on a budget groups of young Israelis in Thailand and other popular destinations, there's a very good chance they're taking their after service long holiday abroad. For many that's their last hurrah before going back to stressful full blown adulting. I wonder how that compares to Amish Rumpspringa. (Very wild times!) 1

The medical professionals at Pai Hospital expressed their dissatisfaction with Israeli nationals in the province to Channel 7 following the incident. One of the doctors revealed that a group of five Israeli men arrived at the hospital, one of whom was injured in a motorcycle accident. The injured Israeli man was rushed to the emergency room for treatment. His four friends attempted to follow him inside but the medical team denied them entry, explaining that the room was restricted to medical professionals only. Despite this clarification, one of the Israeli men ignored the restriction and slightly opened the door to see his injured friend. The medical team was forced to interrupt their work to remove him from the area. The group expressed their anger and caused a disturbance in the hospital, despite a crowd of patients waiting for treatment. The Israeli men continued their disruptive behaviour until hospital security guards escorted them to a police station. Each foreigner was charged under Section 397 of the Criminal Law, which penalises annoying others with a fine of up to 5,000 baht. In this case, police fined each Israeli man 3,000 baht. Previous disturbance The Pai Hospital medical team stated that this was not the first such incident, as Israeli nationals previously displayed negative behaviour at the hospital and in the community on multiple occasions. The Israeli nationals reportedly raised their middle fingers at medical staff, ignored advice from Thai doctors, demanded treatment according to their preferences, looked down on Thai doctors’ skills, failed to comply with nurses’ instructions, smoked cigarettes and cannabis in the hospital, and evaded hospital fees. One of the doctors stated that one Israeli man was engaging in a video call while receiving treatment, showing the faces of other patients in the call. In another incident, an Israeli national was caught smoking cannabis in the hospital and refused to stop despite being warned. The doctor added that she and her colleagues were already exhausted from their work and that encountering such behaviour from Israeli nationals affected their mental well-being. Moreover, these Israeli nationals also made their work slow and forced Thai patients to wait for their treatment longer. She urged the police and relevant authorities to take action against such foreign tourists. Locals in the province were also reportedly frustrated with the behaviour of these foreigners saying they worked illegally and rode motorcycles without a licence. I do not know what it is, but those Israelis I have met, did manage to ruin their own reputation by somehow call out poor service in a bad manner, where we, the other customers where satisfied, but also knowing we where in Thailand, comparing place, culture, price paid for service, and just enjoying our dive trip, or jungle safari. This was back in the early 2000, and signs around in Patong showing No Israelis welcome. Sad to say, it is not just recently they have gained bad reputation. Anyway look here top 5 tourists 1. Chinese 2. Guess who https://www.scmp.com/magazines/post-magazine/travel/article/2102308/who-are-worlds-worst-tourists-six-nations-stand-out I'm surprised there is no Arabs or Indian among the top 5
