For you...society needs to change before you do....to enforce your moral code.

Yes, society does have to change to embrace my ideals (not moral code). I know that, especially after the last presidential election. But that doesn't mean I'll change my ideals. That just means I have to wait a little longer.

You sound crazy. I hope you can one day rid yourself of the horrible guilt you carry.

I have no guilt. I don't know how you ever thought that. I'm very happy with who I have been, who I am now, and who I will be.

Of course you dont and of course you are. You're a hypocrite in the true sense of fhe word.

Either go live as a true socialist or stop telling others they should. Be the change you want to see in the world rather than preaching to others how to live.

Trump and his billionaire mates have just spent two very active weeks shoving their moral codes down the worlds throats.

Ahhh the but but but Trump. It's been a while.

I’m sure anything the felon creates would be tacky in the extreme

You used to say 34 times convicted felon like a champ.

What happened? Seems you don't have as much wind in your sails in the last couple months.

Hope you're OK.

Trolls will troll...

Ok, I'll reword it for you:

The billionaire and his 'Gimp' have spent the last two weeks shoving their moral code down the world's collective throats.

Better?

Yes! You are correct in this last statement, except for calling them "good things." Nothing Trump does or says he'll do is a "good thing."

Ending the war in Ukraine is a bad thing then.

It is easy to see who has never made a sizeable donation to charity or to the government. 🙂

Brilliant 😄.

Very generous of Trump to spend his own money on this.

What a difference to Biden trying to suck every last cent out of taxpayers money to enrich his (now pardoned) crime family.

You can't even insult Biden with an accurate statement.

Not tax payers money so you can stop moaning

It most certainly will be.   I suppose that since you do not  make charitable contributions, you can't be expected to know much about tax  policy in the free world.

Why? he is paying for it, very generous

Not really. He would be fronting the funds.

There's no way he's going to fund it himself.

You are correct.

Here is how  these things work.

- One person sponsors the project. They then ask friends, clients, suppliers and supporters to participate.

- Approx. 50% of the donation is  deductible from income, which is a generous  tax reduction.

In effect, money that would have otherwise been paid in tax is instead diverted to a preferred project. If the lead fundraiser is good, much of the project is paid for by others who will also contribute.

This is nothing new, and is used by large companies and the wealthy to manage their tax liabilities. It isa generous offer by Trump in the sense that it will take some time to organize. He would however get credit and most likely naming rights to the room. The fact is that the US government is paying  for the tent rentals. A  built for purpose facility would be more cost effective. Nothing wrong with the Trump proposal, and I agree with him, that having the events in a tent is low end.
