A local fisherman made a horrifying discovery in Ban Chang district, Rayong province, after finding a large suitcase containing the decomposing body of a woman. The suitcase, partially submerged in a pond near a golf course, had a dumbbell inside, seemingly used to weigh it down.

Police were alerted to the scene at 17:00 after Mr. Pholpat Phromthong, a 21-year-old fisherman, reported a strong odour coming from the suitcase. Officers from Ban Chang Police Station, along with emergency responders from Siam Ruamjai Rayong Rescue Foundation, arrived at the scene to investigate.

The suitcase, a black wheeled Swiss-brand bag, had been locked with a combination code. Upon being opened, it revealed the naked, decomposed remains of a woman with dyed hair, believed to be around 30 years old. The body was too decomposed to confirm her identity, though authorities noted a scar on her chest, possibly from breast augmentation surgery. It is estimated that she had been dead for at least five days to a week.

Nearby, police discovered bloodstains on a concrete bridge leading to the pond, suggesting the victim may have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the location. Witnesses claimed the suitcase had been visible earlier in the week, though no one had reported it until now.

Ban Chang Police are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to trace any suspects. Initial inquiries into missing person reports led authorities to a case filed in Nong Kham, Chonburi, where a woman had been reported missing. Investigators are now working to confirm if the cases are linked.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue efforts to identify the victim and track down the perpetrator.

My favorite was more than 10 years ago where an Eastern European on his Honeymoon chopped-up his beloved, wrapped the parts in towels, put them in a suitcase and deposited it into the Chao Phraya River.   Such a potential floating treasure chest didn't escape notice for long and it was soon hauled to shore and opened.  Didn't take the cops long to figure this one out.  The towels the guy wrapped the select cuts in were embossed with the hotel name. Video revealed the husband huffing & puffing as he struggles with the suitcase on the elevator. Police had him Chop-chop.

I remeber that. Wonder if the pig's still in jail in Thailand. I hope so.

Don't ever look into a garbage bag dumped next to a gas station trash bin.

You might be surprised.

At a time where there are cameras and CCTVs all over the place, not to mention scores of people who are quick on the draw with their mobile cameras, it's a wonder people still do stuff like this. I mean, you almost can't pick your nose in the open without being filmed or photographed.

Once, about 10 years ago, I tried to count the number of CCTVs I was on from exiting the door of my rented condo in Phra Khanong to Nana Plaza via the BTS, about a 5km journey  Even back then, I counted more than 30 CCTV cameras that I was aware of.  Who knows how many others there were that I didn't spot.

UPDATE
Police Release Details of Unidentified Woman Found in Suitcase

Police are intensifying their investigation into a gruesome discovery after the naked body of a woman was found stuffed inside a suitcase, weighed down with 20kg of weights, near a golf course in Ban Chang, Rayong. The body, in an advanced state of decomposition, is believed to have been there for several days.

Since the discovery on 7 February, over 100 officers from Region 2 Investigations, Rayong Provincial Police, and Ban Chang Police Station have been working around the clock to solve the case.

At a press briefing at 13:00 on 8 February, Police Colonel Arthit Yakaew, Superintendent of Ban Chang Police Station, confirmed that investigators are cross-referencing missing persons reports from Rayong and Chonburi. So far, 11 cases have been examined, with seven ruled out, leaving four still under review.

“We have also received 4–5 reports from people searching for missing relatives, but none match the victim exactly. The deceased was petite, had black and red hair, and had undergone rhinoplasty, as silicone implants were found in the nose,” Col. Arthit stated. “If anyone has a missing relative with these characteristics, they should contact Ban Chang Police Station immediately.”

A missing female caddie, identified only as “Number 22,” who was last seen in Ban Chang two weeks ago, had been suspected as the victim. However, police now believe she is still alive. Due to the condition of the body, it is unclear whether there are visible wounds, and forensic experts at the Police General Hospital are conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death and confirm the victim’s identity.

Police have released key identifying details of the unidentified woman:

• Slim build

• Black and reddish-brown hair

• Estimated age between 25–50 years

• Height between 145–160 cm

• Underwent rhinoplasty surgery

• Estimated time of death: 15–30 days ago

Authorities urge anyone with missing relatives matching this description to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, with officers prioritising victim identification before determining the circumstances surrounding her death.

Who are these people, and what kind of a human being kills and stuffs somebody into a suitcase?

Who were his parents, why did they fail so spectacularly, and at what point did he become so twisted?

Obviously you are assuming it's a male.
