early on in the video, trump claims that "we are trying to weed out corruption and judges want to stop us from looking for corruption".

now elon has started talking and he claims what they are doing is "restoring democracy". Elons says "we don't live in a democracy, we live in a bureaucracy".

this video is a must watch! take a break from bob's threads and watch this, kids.

maybe most people misunderstand what trump is doing.

Thanks for that link.... I'll save it for when I have to explain to the grandchildren how to spot how some people will attempt to sway them with idiotic use of statistics that are irrelevant despite being correct.

Doing something fast without much thinking is not a good concept for big changes for a huge country.

You assume there was no to little thought into the moves Trump is making. These are not thought bubble policies. They have been thought through and stated during the campaign. Apart from this moving fast on things can deny the criminals that have been 'misusing' tax payer money time to cover their tracks.

Of the 15 agencies Musk's team have targeted so far, nine were singled out for elimination or downsizing in Project 2025, a controversial 900-page blueprint compiled by conservative think-tanks to remake the U.S. government. The document claims many federal government agencies have been taken over by a left-wing elite who use taxpayer dollars to push a liberal agenda that is "weaponized against conservative values".

Trump distanced himself from the project during the 2024 election after an uproar over some of its more far-reaching proposals, but a number of the authors are now in his administration.

Bill Hoagland, a former Republican staffer and director of the Senate Budget Committee for more than 20 years, said the cost-cutting efforts so far have been designed to play to Trump's base, and have been "low hanging fruit for ideological reasons."

"The playbook has not been for the dollar savings, but more for the philosophical and ideological differences conservatives have with the work these agencies do," Hoagland said.

Is that also the case with Trump and taking over Gaza? Somehow, I don't remember that he mentioned that before the election.

But then, that is obviously just such a small detail. Or maybe not?

I did not introduce Trump's name into the thread!

Go back and read the post from the Yap Yap Yaper which posted about Trump and to which I replied.
