Reduced tax on wine has it happened anywhere on Phuket island?
Yes, I saw the Jacob's Creek at 445 baht, so decided to buy a bottle to give it a try, and it's a good everyday drinker for my spicy Thai food and the occasional chili con carne I make. The JJ McWilliams range of wines have also dropped in price and those are worth a try for a good low end but well made red wine. I still buy the "19 Crimes" red blend for an occasional break from my hefty Appassimento Italian wines and good to see that some Italian wines have also come down in price from my supplier. I have just ordered some Sauternes wine as I do like to take a break from my after-dinner ports, but unfortunately they are still pricey, so here's hoping they drop in price a little?? Overall, prices have dropped and that's good to see. -
