Border bounce at nong khai

Featured Replies

Any one thinking of doing a quick turn around run to nong khai had better be prepared to get denied coming back in from loas thai  immigration are telling falangs they now have to fly from Vientiane to Bangkok if they want to return to thailand with no exceptions you are now forced to go to the airport and book an expensive flight to Bangkok and if you can manage to get a flight you are being pulled out at Bangkok for only staying 1 or 2 days in loas so just a heads up to anyone thinking of going

I have read reports advising that they were told to obtain flight to Thailand however subsequently been allowed to enter.

Reports of having to stay 2 nights.

Have not read a report of refusal to enter Thailand at Nong Khai after staying couple of nights.

".....no exceptions you are now forced to go to the airport ...."

Happened on Friday they pulled at least 5 people out of the queue to get stamped out all falangs were all told they have to fly  back to thailand and if tried to enter by land border they would be refused entry no exceptions

My experience was the same. A couple months ago I was sent to talk to the immigration supervisor at Nong Khai. She was nice and let me in but said it's the last time (visa exempt) and next time I need to fly to Bangkok
