Why on earth would you even consider paying tax in Thailand?

A lot that claim they just pay taxes simply barely have taxes. Many with local jobs not even have a choice as it would be taken upfront.

Ask the Thais to join in then, but unless it's taxed at source as in hotels, VAT on goods,  etc,

There is no way I will even pay a thousand baht in taxes here for the rest of my life. 

im already doing the six months out of Thailand.  Just while the Thai government sorts itself out, if ever.  Until i get a for sure answer, i will continue to do this.  Vietnam by the way.  i am currently in Da Nang, Thai gf here with me, its enjoyable, and cheap, so not really an issue, and a nice break from Thainess!

Not if you work and earn in a tax free area of the world. If you are in a place where you pay taxes then you should pay but you shouldn't enter a double taxation system.
