I think that's a big issue with these discussions. The assumption that the other guy is your complete opposite and you have to hate each other.

When really, you both want the same thing. You are both humans with likely the same basic needs. 

People are constantly fed information and from that information they form opinions. They may be right sometimes and wrong about some things, but their heart, as we say, is in the right place. They don't see themselves as bad people and you don't see yourselves as bad people. But the way the information is framed is designed to set you against each other.

There are good guys and bad guys on both sides, but you are being manipulated into taking ONE side. That means the 'bad guys' on either side get a free pass. 

Is Trump known for being a good guy? So how come he's the good guy now? I don't know all the answers. I just try to take a balanced view, discuss what I know and listen to what other people think they know. When people discuss in a reasonable way, you can at least put their serious views into your information bank and process it.

But when there is this stupid name calling and insulting, you cannot take such a person seriously. They are by nature, degenerates.

I think you know there are many of that type here.

Zelensky was meant to be making a full White House visit to sign a US-Ukrainian deal for joint exploitation of Ukraine's mineral resources, as part of a post-war recovery in a US-brokered peace deal.

 

Instead, an ugly clash blew up almost immediately in the Oval Office where Trump and Vice President JD Vance shouted at Zelensky, accusing him of not being thankful for US help in the three-year war against Russian invasion. Trump berated Zelensky, telling him to be more "thankful" and that without US assistance Ukraine would have been conquered by Russia. "You're either going to make a deal or we're out," Trump added. "And if we're out, you'll fight it out and I don't think it's going to be pretty."

 

Zelensky left in his motorcade shortly after, without holding a planned joint press conference. The resources deal was left unsigned, the White House said. Trump took to his Truth Social platform to castigate Zelensky saying "he disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office." Zelensky is "not ready for Peace," Trump wrote. "He can come back when he is ready for Peace."

no matter what one's background IMHO, the president and VP of the US should act a bit better than this televised SHOW, somehow thinking that their "public" would love seeing them try to humiliate Zelenskyy since he did that to Trump in 2019 but not before the cameras.  I as an American was embarrassed that Trump actually tried to defend Putin.  If Trump is the "great negotiator" that he claims to be, why doesn't he get Putin to stop attacking civilian targets within the Ukraine.  Military targets with modern technology are easy to find, but targetting civilians and necessary facilities providing electricity and water for the people should be avoided except Putin just hopes the Ukranian public will give up.  I would think that after 3 years of having military superiority that the Russians should be over this, now having to use N.
