If they want to stop Foreigner beeing in Businesses that are " for Thais Only " just stop Foreigners to have the possibility to own 49% of those type of businesses.  

Foreigner can not own any % of Businesses only for Thais  , Foreigner can not be Directors  of Businesses " For Thai Only " .

Same same a few days of headlines then back to normal. 

 

They simply cannot crack down on all the foreign business open these days since the visa relaxations.

The google reviews say they can actually pickup and dropoff keys from reception and I have seen them down there complaining to reception about it being "the worst hotel ever".

My old condo Lumpiniville Pattaya also had daily rentals strolling past reception daily despite the 7 foot tall sign at the door prohibiting it.

I guess as long as theres a sign you don't need to actually do anything and can enjoy a nice day of candy crush saga on your phone.

In the residence I use, security now requires a signed one month contract to allow travellers in. I assume that shorter time renters may get a fake one month contract from the owner or the agency, even if they are staying only a few days, but I did not check that.
