Neither. If I am not golfing or swimming in the morning, I spend 10 minutes checking how much my investments made while I was sleeping, over a breakfast coffee.

Starbucks? That's for poseurs who go there to be seen, and their coffee is dishwater.

Bars? Haven't been in one for about ten years. Certainly not at 9 am.

Oiy mates, here we go, Sociologist PHD, Bob the Knob is back with another groundbreaking thesis, this time attempting to classify expats as either “strivers” or “losers” based entirely on the time of day they choose to consume beverages.

So, let’s get this straight: you, Bobby Back-Soi, the human equivalent of a permanently timed-out Pornhub clip that never loads, think you’re qualified to pass judgment on others? You, a man whose greatest contribution to this forum is an endless stream of whining about taxi seatbelts, moaning about security guard whistles, and whinging about the existential horrors of 90 day reports?

And let’s be real, Bobby Ballbag. We all know exactly which category you fall into. Because somehow, despite your vast expertise in spotting these so-called “strivers” and “losers,” you always seem to have an awful lot of free time to sit around and criticize them. What does that make you? A professional bystander? A stalker? A serial armchair critic? A 3 time divorcee? Or just another washed-up sexpat who’s been here so long he’s convinced himself that pontificating about strangers is a legitimate hobby?

At the end of the day, Bob the Blank, the only real division among expats isn’t “strivers” vs. “losers”, it’s people who actually live their lives vs. people like you, who sat on an internet forum night and day trying to make themselves feel superior while contributing absolutely nothing of value to the world except an arsenal of recycled, old cliched windups.

A good reply, but Bob is a laugh, he must be doing it to take the piss and see how many people react seriously to his serial comments.😃

Stevie Cohen manages his own stocks and accounts.

He has about 2800 employees to help him do it.

Slightly off topic...

@Robert_Smith As we've worked out that you a delusional fantasist who pretends to have lots of money but doesn't, and brings incessant pessimism, disrespect and rudeness to this forum, what would it cost for you to agree NOT to post anymore...?

I've noticed in thailand that there seem to be two tyoes of expats : the strivers and the losers.

The strivers can be seen at 07:00 in starbucks on their laptops, usually checking their stocks/crypto wallets to see how much they made overnight.

They are usually well dressed, clean shaven, toned, and look like they have a brain.

On the other hand you have the losers. these are usually fat old balding men sat in the bar at 9am having a beer, watching their lives slowly fade away into oblivion... You can see in their eyes that they have been divorced at least 3 times..

So, which one are you?

regards,

bob.

To be honest: who wants to be called "loser"??

🤣🤗😂

We both know that isn't true.  I'm sure an imaginative man such as yourself could disprove me if he wished to, but you can't.

I used to dream of flying my own aircraft, so I learned to fly and bought my own aircraft, which I used to fly all around Europe.  If you wish to be tedious, I can provide evidence of my dreams.

Where's your evidence?

Not bald, 83 years old, happily married to my Thai wife, aged 68, since 1990. I smoke 1 small cigar a day, and no longer drink alcohol. At my age I must be fading away, to refer to one of your categories, but slowly, and thankful for still being able to mostly enjoy life.

Hi, how are you today?

Can you allow me some simple question, please?

I wonder what makes you so keen to judge total strangers that way, branding them Winners, or Losers?

Any big fun in it?

If you are happy your life here, isn't that enough?

They live in their world, and you live in yours...

I often wake up early in the morning.

Usually daily 30-60 minutes exercise before breakfast.

Cooking my breakfast.

Feeding my friend' rabbit(while my landlord's family is tied up to their farm works).

Watering plants.

Admiring all forms living things around me; squirrels running around on wires, chirping sparrows and mina birds, occasionally feed them.

Enjoying my simple daily routine each day...

How is your bitcoin doing? lol.

With the rampant corruption, self-dealing, and blatant conflicts of interest running hog-wild and unchecked in Washington, and with a gutted SEC and department of justice, how anyone in their right mind could invest in any crypto currency these days is beyond me.

It is not hard to imagine all the insiders with advance knowledge of Trump's announcement piling in ahead of time, and selling on cue after all the little investors had been suckered in. Pump-and-dump. Pig butchering.  And, LOL, it's the gullible MAGA faithful who are being taken advantage of the most.

You forgot about my type.....

I'm the middle aged guy hanging out with his 20yo girlfriend.

A couple of times a week early evening we can be seen enjoying a few beers at our favourite bar, my gf likes the occasional game of pool (sometimes I wish I never showed her how to play, always annoying me for a game) , then at times off to Thepprasit market, visiting the many hot food shops for takeaway then back home, eat and sleep.

A few times a year we are off to the village to visit her relatives, this is an awesome time, many beers everyday, living like a king, the gf stuffing my mouth with food from the BBQ as I'm sipping my glass of iced Chang.

I've got quite a few Bitcoin's I bought 2015, never sit down checking on them.

Many of us older guys have a wallet with lots of money in it, we could all have lots of 20-year-old girlfriends if we wished, after all, we are in Thailand.

Luckily for those old blokes, they do not need to be billionaires to get a 20-year-old bird, I have no idea what the price is but it is probably not that much. 😄

But I suppose they can not be that well off if they can only afford to live in Pattaya.

It's a good question.

'Bob' is a tormented soul, and it would be good for everyone -primarily him - if he was to emerge from the dark side and rebuild his character.

Maybe he is a lost cause and he is best left being laughed at.  It's his choice.
