In a distressing turn of events, a Thai mother, Noi, installed a security camera in her 11-year-old daughter's bedroom, unwittingly capturing her husband's friend, Tour, committing rape. The shocking footage was handed over to the Uthai Police Station and subsequently to the Be One Foundation on March 5.

The discovery followed concerns raised by the child's teacher about her having a boyfriend. Upon discussing the matter, the daughter revealed visits from her boyfriend at home, yet denied engaging in sexual activities. However, the camera revealed Tour, not the boyfriend, as the predator intruding into her room.

The heinous acts, which first occurred in October of the previous year, included three assaults and regular inappropriate advances from Tour, who misused his friendship by regularly visiting and offering gifts and money to the girl.

As Noi reported the crime with founder Chalida Palamart's support, police detained Tour. His wife, Kate, was unaware of the allegations until her husband's arrest. The revelation left her in disbelief and emotional turmoil, acknowledging the truth after viewing the footage.

Aghast at the betrayal, Kate insisted on severing ties with Tour, acknowledging his past behaviours as a womaniser but never anticipating such an atrocity, especially towards someone considered family.

Police have denied Tour's bail, considering the severity of his actions and the risk of evading justice. The investigation proceeds under close scrutiny to ensure justice for the young victim, while the community grapples with the shocking breach of trust, reported The Thaiger.

Didn't the police do anything upon being informed? More people have to call in outsiders these days to embarrass the police to take action.
