A tragedy unfolded in Samut Prakan yesterday when a man fell from the fourth floor of a shopping mall car park, resulting in his death. Local law enforcement, led by Deputy Inspector Veerapong Boontor from Samrong Nuea Police Station, promptly arrived for an investigation.

The man's body, believed to be around 60 years old, was discovered beside the car park. Officials secured the site, using a tarpaulin to cover the deceased. On the fourth floor, police found belongings including a pair of shoes, a shopping trolley, and a water bottle, potentially belonging to the victim. These were collected as part of the investigation.

Witnesses reported a loud noise at the time of the incident. Somchai, a motorcycle taxi driver nearby, recounted hearing a crash that led him to the scene, where he found the man and notified the authorities. He noted this as the third fall from the same location, though he did not recognise the individual.

Similarly, a delivery rider initially mistook the noise for a vehicle mishap. However, upon investigating, he discovered the body and immediately informed the police.

The cause of the man's fall remains under investigation by Deputy Inspector Veerapong and his team, who are also working to identify the victim's relatives. The body has been sent to the Forensic Institute at Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for an autopsy to establish the precise cause of death. The community remains on edge as authorities seek clarity on this tragic event, reported The Thaiger.
