Two men have died after their motorcycle crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler truck in Si Racha district, Chonburi. The truck had reportedly suffered a tyre puncture and was pulling into a roadside repair shop when the fatal collision occurred.

Police Lieutenant Thatchakorn Narananya, deputy investigator at Bo Win Police Station, received the crash report and coordinated with medical staff from Laem Chabang Hospital and rescue teams from the Phuttha Samakhom Pheaw Yeang Tai Foundation.

The incident took place on Highway 311 in Khao Khan Song subdistrict. At the scene, police found a Honda motorcycle (registration from Chonburi) wedged into the back of an Isuzu 18-wheeler truck.

The two male victims were found at the scene with severe injuries. The driver’s leg was still draped over the motorcycle and pinned under the truck.

While the passenger was found thrown off and unresponsive. Rescue workers attempted CPR but were unable to revive him. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, Sutin, stated that he had been driving along the road when he noticed a tyre had punctured. Spotting a tyre repair shop, he began to pull over. Before he could stop completely, he heard a loud crash from the rear of his truck. Upon stepping out to check, he discovered the motorcycle lodged in the back of his vehicle with the two men fatally injured.

Police transported the bodies to Laem Chabang Hospital for further examination. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash. Authorities will also notify the victims’ families so they can arrange religious funeral rites.
