A lot of negative comments about young Thais totally undeserved made by people with no direct involvement. It's all about the parenting, good parents make good kids.

Does Thai youth file taxes?

How many of the 16 - 18 year old demographic here have bank accounts, won't this go directly into the parent/guardians accounts?

 

All this cynicism.  The handout will 100% have the desired effect:  increasing the proportion of the next generation of voters who will support Pheu Thai.  And the best bit is that Pheu Thai doesn't have to hand out its own money to win votes.
