The man wants lasting peace, not another ceasefire that would probably get ignored.  Kiev is still sending drones to Moscow and killing civilians.   Bit in the MSM 🙄

Not much of a peace initiative.

"At a press briefing on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova revealed that Moscow had closely examined the results of the talks and the relevant statements, but added that Moscow had yet to receive a formal ceasefire proposal." - RTNews

News-blip of Putin aid statement (same as OP)

Headline ... (RTNews)

"Russia not interested in temporary Ukraine deal – Putin aide

Moscow aims to reach a long-term peaceful resolution of the conflict that takes its interests into account, according to Yury Ushakov"

I will translate Russian for you. Long term solution = full capitulation of Ukraine. Anybody thinks there ever was any other kind of peace solution that Putin would accept?

Sure.

Minsk, Minsk-2, Istanbul.  Those would have sufficed, if implemented.

But Putin isn't going to accept a Minsk-3 with the agreement incapable western powers.

Ah! Very funny. We are talking about war here and the waste of human lives but I guess some people just have to make the orange man joke. Pitiful. If I had superpowers to transport people anywhere you'd be going straight to the eastern front as a Ukrainian soldier. Fairly sure that would knock some sense into you. Disgusting lack of respect for those fighting on both sides. They're soldiers.

It's not really so much  that they are too cowardly  its more that they have already sent Ukraine everything they had  and are now broke  + record low actual soldiers in boots that could go fight the "dastardly" Russians even if they wanted to.

Europe neglected defense spending for decades and the chickens are coming home to roost.

It's quite sad and I do believe that this "syndrome" will be researched, peer reviewed and found to be an actual psychological disorder. I just can't get over the child like nature of what's coming out from these idiots but it's child like with absolute hate. Very disturbing indeed.

it is indeed a psychological disorder, never before have I seen a switch from rational everyday people to rabid frothing psychotic unhinged mental patients at the mere mention of  the orange ones name, they literally lose the plot. But apparently those that support trump at any level are cultists and need to be re-educated, in camps!!

Why would Putin agree to that anyway? He’s got Ukraine on the ropes, he might just take the whole thing. Biden’s gone and Zelensky is fresh out of American friends. Europeans are too cowardly to put troops in Ukraine and fight Putin on their own. Which they should be doing. Instead they beg a country across the ocean for help.

You are 100% correct.   Europe is a continent of cowards.

The perfect description of how things truly are. The Ukraine as well Europe are at the bargaining table without options. Without US support, the game is over and Putin can declare victory, All the way.

The people of Europe are useless.

1) Trump calls up Putin and tells him to get out of Ukraine or all hell will break loose.

2) SLAM down the phone.

3) If Putin does nothing, send a massive overwhelming shock and awe fleet of almost everything we got flying over Ukraine and dropping enough bombs on Russian troops occupying Ukraine to turn the whole area into rubble.

Any questions how a strong leader not a cowardly Russian Agent acts? 😀

You can't be this "inhuman" to send me to the front as "cannon-fodder". The Ukraine is running out of manpower at the front. Most of Ukrainian front soldiers were not granted any "home-leave" for over a year. It's hard to win a war if you are running out of "personell".

Many able bodied young Ukrainians have ended up in Europe as "refugees". And now you want to send me to the Ukrainian front?

The Europeans have been  facing off against Russia since the start of the conflict, which you   have conveniently ignored was in large part enabled by the USA. It was Europe which wanted to avoid a conflict.

Just as Trump says the Ukraine  started the war despite Russia being the invader, you now claim that the EU is begging the USA for help. The EU is asking the USA to take responsibility for the consequences of a war that the USA helped initiate, ok.

He doesn't want the whole thing.  He never wanted the four new oblasts.  He din't even want Crimea.  The Soviets would have been fine with paying the annual lease on Sevastopol.

But regime change in hopes of getting the Russians kicked out in favor of a NATO naval base, oh, and ethnic cleansing of the Donbass, has consequences.

He will remove the remnants of the azovs from the four Russian regions, and pause.  If terrorism continues, Odessa will be next to have a free and fair referendum to secede from the apartheid regime.

Careful now, you are in effect holding the USA responsible for trying to get the Russians out of the Crimean port and that won't go over well with the  MAGA collective.

Ah! You speak sense. Boots on the ground has been and is even more now one of Ukraine's biggest problems and sending so many of the best one's into Kursk instead of bolstering their eastern front was pure madness. The killing needs to stop. Biden/Harris wanted it to continue. Hopefully Trump can stop it. There's no one else to do it.

Give it a rest. 711 Coalition personnel lost their lives in Afghanistan. The UK lost 457 and Canada 159. These 2 partners drew the 2  most dangerous zones. Other countries like France lost 90, Denmark 43 and so on. And you know what the US  response is? Insults, threats and belittlement. Denmark gets threatened, Canada gets threatened. The UK is insulted. And so on. And this comes from Corporal bonespurs of all people assisted by his batboy  media clerk  VP who skillfully avoided combat in Iraq. The USA is the only NATO member to have invoked  Article 5 and all those countries you insult came to the defense of the USA and wasted their resources in a war started by the USA.

The USA is quickly becoming a pariah state because of arrogant  obnoxious assaults on the world. Everyone is wrong and only the Trump collective has it right.  The USA is going to find itself in a very isolated  place with no off ramp and then people will go, why does everyone hate us, and why won't they help us?

You know who is a coward? Elon Musk who called Senator Mark Kelly a traitor, and the Republicans who said nothing.  Kelly was getting shot at over Iraq as a combat pilot and  Musk has the audacity to insult him. Republicans were afraid to say anything to Musk. That's what  cowards do.

The last time the Russians destroyed the Nazis in Kursk, did Roosevelt demand that Stalin sign a 30-day ceasefire?

Lay off the Soviet Propaganda. The Russians nearly cost themselves the war with their mismanagement of the Kursk attacks. You forget that  Russia lost 1.7 million personnel as either dead or injured to the Germans 350,000 (500,000 if you accept Russian claims). Russia depleted its airforce when the loss of 4,000 aircraft in this campaign. Russia was sending waves of unarmed conscripts . Nothing much has changed ith the Russian mentality has it?

The Kremlin must have had a laugh before responding to the losing side demanding a ceasefire on their terms.

Witkoff will be on his knees in Moscow next week begging for a face-saving exit for Trump. But it's not clear if that's even possible given the momentum with which the Russians are pushing on all fronts.

I fear for Little Marco though. He must be terrified of losing his head if he has to bear bad news to the WH.

Defend itself against whom exactly?

Shirley, not Russia.  Putin just wants to sell gas.

The only attacks on Europa have been the US/UK destruction of Nordstream, Trump's tariffs and demands they hand over Greenland.

That's not counting the tide of illegal immigrants set loose by NATO regime-changing stable, secular middle eastern governments.

That can't be right.

According to MSM, Putin is the reincarnation of Rasputin and is starting with Ukraine as a test of the western powers, in his bid to reform the Soviet Union, with the end goal of world domination.

There, that's a much better narrative.

Putin is very familiar with bonespur-types as Russia has many of them (often found hiding out in Phra Tamnak and other areas in Thailand). He knows Trump is a blowhard coward and he owns him any way. So threats will have no effect.

This is all very sad for the people of Ukraine who simply wanted freedom from Russian tyranny. like all their neighbours to the West and like Americans.

Unless the West ups the ante, Putin will win the hand.
