A blatant smear on English tourists and long time farangs while conveniently ignoring the visa free tourists from China, Russia, India et al who are doing more than getting pxssed up in the pub and acting like jerks.

About one year ago. February 2024 in the headliner in Phuket. And in March 2024 in Trang, when a Swissie kicked around an older Thai woman in a supermarket. Then, there's this one just a few days ago; another Swiss kicker--https://www.pattayamail.com/news/from-road-rage-to-arrest-swiss-tourist-dropkicks-thai-man-after-motorcycle-collision-in-pattaya-494323

Ok. I was wrong.  Some European from wherever, Norway or Sweden, or Belguim or something recorded himself sneaking up behind and and kicking two teenage girls or young ladies in their backs as they were sitting in some stairs quietly talking to each other. It was despicable. I thought that is what you were referring to.

We didn’t and won’t do any follow up stories on any of this stuff, reported Tha Tigger.

Warning: snowflakes close your eyes - A dose of Singapore's corporal punishment would sort them out.

Yeah, That would be an eye opener in this day and age.

Could you imagine the outrage.

Do It .

The source for this seems to be the little splurge of cases of British people trying to smuggle legal cannabis in Thailand, to Britain where it is illegal and therefore more expensive.

Because of the publicity, it’s made the British press and that has sparked a story in Thailand.

it’s fairly amateurish stuff, easily sorted by an uptick in sniffer dog activity at a few airports.

But, of course, journalism has to try to generate reader reaction and engagement, hence a lurid headline designed to do just that.

60 days waiver mentioned again.  Do they even know that any of these troublemakers were on a 60 day waiver anyway?  Probably not and even if they were, they would have caused trouble whether they were on 60 days, 30 days, or here on a non B, etc.   there is no relevance whatsoever.  Complete nonsense

I'm a Brit on the tail end of a 60 day waiver.

I'm starting to feel I've let the side down as I haven't done too much criminality apart from vaping and riding my bike without a helmet.

It's a fair cop guv.

You wimp!

How old are those bloody BMWs now?

5 years, six?

Surely, as BMW's do, they must be reaching the end of their lifespan,

🤣🤣🤣 Again, they made it to the headline. Congrats 😂😂😂.

And thank you RTP to go after British (and others) riffraff. Out with the criminals.❤️

I admit there are some they can stay here 🤗

In this connection it will be a good and wise decision to change the visa rules

And thank you newbee for your instant solution to being in Thailand for a whole dog-watch and deciding that British people should have their visas changed.

You're just what this country needs!

Well done little chappie - your views are eagerly being implemented.

what a clever popster you are

So holier than thou!

Thank you for your admiration. I'll appreciate it.

However, reading and understanding are not your skills.

From 1788 to 1868

We emptied the country of all our trash to Australia for 80 years.

Multi generational thing.

That is why when I meet Australians I am always wary and keep an eye on my belongings.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. It is in their DNA.
They are generally friendly but you can’t trust any of them.

So that is how you interpreted the history you were taught in school?

I'm not so sure about that.

The biometrics stopped working at 50 million entries last year, guess someone doesn't want to pay for better database storage.

Not even close. They're probably not even in the top 10 of foreign nationals.

This article is nonsense and nothing more than a journalist's effort to find something to write about.

The official figures  2025 are,

China, Malaysia, Russia, S. Korea, India , UK, USA, Taiwan, Germany,France.

etc

in that order.

If the police did their job, and the courts too, any trouble makers, thieves, drug related , fighting, a day in the cell, a day in court, fined, deported , banned.
Quite sure the problem would be solved in one year.

"Thailand has long been a popular destination for British tourists, but recent reports suggest a concerning trend: an apparent uptick in criminal activities involving British nationals."

Beat me to that one! No mention of any other nationalities where the "real" criminals seem to come from - Chinese triads, Russian mafia, Nigerian scammers etc etc.

Seems that a handful of Brits caught at Samui Airport attempting to smuggle out cannabis are to blame for "an apparent uptick in criminal activities involving British nationals".

Priorities eh?

For "Confused":- Why?
