Trump has lost the plot.
@frank83628 Is that what passes for normal behaviour these days? Ranting like a lunatic and at the same time claiming the invisible people whom you are ranting at, lunatics? In my observation, it's something that you've picked up from someone else and you are just running with it? The <removed> device is already old and tired. Try coming out with something original. You aren't even trying to debate. To my eyes, most of these threads are a waste of time. There is no discussion at all, nor even an attempt to agree on some matters, whilst disagreeing on others. It's literally dismissing anything that you imagine is critical of your dear leader. What happened to critical thinking skills? I just see monkeys throwing 💩 Are you critical of anything, other than the imaginary people you assume to be your extreme opposite? -

Thailand's Digital Card Chaos: Say Goodbye to TM6, Hello to Confusion!
Japan has a paper system for the lazy / stupid / progress resistant people. It is also a backuop system should the Visit Japan system fail. The paper people are directed to lines where they can stand and wait. The evisa pax breeze through customs and immigration. In my case it took 10 minutes including the lines at HND. The days of saying no to a mobile device are over. Consider it a requirement to travel no different than visas and passports. Within the next 5 years, flying will depend upon E boarding passes and e linked boarding gates. It is happening now. There are no longer paper airline tickets. It is an eticket. A small group of technology resistant people cannot be allowed to disrupt security and efficiency for others. These are the same people who delay boarding because they don't have a passport and boarding pass ready to present at the gate, or who demand to board early because they are old, despite paying for and sitting in zone 5. -

Bangkok Shop Owner Defends Right to Sell Controversial Shirts
"Decency" is a malleable and flexible concept. Once person's "decency" is another person's stupidity. Much like morality is dependent on perspective. To the snake eating the mouse it's just dinner, to the mouse it's cold blooded murder. The problem arises when some people feel their interpretation of "decency" or morality has an absolute value. Those days are gone. -

Walkable and quiet towns?
Feb this year was good in Isaan. PM not bad, not hot and not much rain. Found a Udon hotel with pool 360 baht. Room the same as a 1000 baht standard. Walked around both lakes. Checked out 10 restaurants. I now know 4 hotels at 360 to 420 baht that are good. Outstanding value. Udon nightlife is lame though. Khon Kaen has more. Around that western lake good music shows. -

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system is online (but not announced as starting yet)
So presumably the powers-that-be in Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia & (?) Myannmar issue these passes to their nationals who live within striking distance of the Thai border, in the same way as their Thai counterparts issue such passes to similarly eligible Thai nationals if this link is to be believed? https://www.dopa.go.th/public_service/service_guide404/view405
