Well first of all it's Pattaya, so nothing should ever surprise anyone about the palace. This area seems to attract a high percentage of the and low end tourists that frequent Thailand. The balance of them seem to be in Phuket.

Deliberate typo?

Rescue workers in Pattaya faced a frustrating ordeal when a heavily intoxicated American tourist was found lying in the middle of a road, refusing assistance and insisting he was simply trying to sleep.

The incident occurred at 23:35 on March 25, when the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre received a call from concerned locals reporting a foreign man asleep on Second Road in Jomtien, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel found the tourist, who identified himself only as an American, refusing to give his name, lying intoxicated on the road. Good Samaritans and other tourists had already moved him to the roadside before the rescue team arrived. However, when approached, the man became agitated and told responders, “Why is everyone here? Leave me alone, I just want to sleep,” before lying down again at the entrance to a hotel, ignoring the attention of passersby. He also complained about the noise of passing traffic disturbing him, causing further concern that he might be at risk.

Rescue workers attempted to persuade the man to move for more than 30 minutes, but he remained adamant about staying put. Eventually, they informed him that police would be called to take him away. At this point, the tourist suddenly regained his composure, stood up, and walked off as if nothing had happened.

Worried for his safety, bystanders and rescue workers followed him until he disappeared from sight, believing he had safely returned to his accommodation.

A hotel security guard, later stated that he had seen the tourist staggering towards the hotel’s gate earlier in the evening but had not thought much of it, assuming he was just another intoxicated guest. However, when he noticed a crowd gathering on the roadside, he decided to investigate and later assisted in calling the rescue services.

Well, in another blog it's saying: it's my right to sleep here. Don't make such noise.

The police will show him his right next day.😂

Yes. An absolute typo. Unless you are referring to relatively inexpensive PFP, then it's a palace. Or a heaven.

I think I recognize the drunkard.

Didn't he used to be a talking head on Fox Weekend, but now got a job just outside of Crystal City in suburban Virginia?

Don't read it if you don't like. Or did someone ordered/forced you to read my posts in particular?

Thank you for this enlightening high quality comment. You can't do better?

Well, he could of said what he was really thinking, mirroring what I think of you and probably many others on this forum. But he didn't want to end up with a ban.

I hope he will get a hefty fine to remember his whole life. And nice photos in newspapers, TV and other social media. Embarrassing incident.

He's a real disgrace.

I can understand any Thai to be angry letting those kind of people into the country.

I haven't seen any Thai in Europe with this kind of behaviour.

It's a shame to be farang if you see such useless creatures here in Thailand

Do you lack eyes? Thais are no better or worse and I see them doing much worse very often.  People are people and some do stupid things on occation.
