In my mind expats living in Thailand should just put passport country in that field. Those with permanent resident status can put Thailand. Who really cares. You're not the odd one out. A lot of people on here are being deliberately obtuse. Never impressive. 1 1 1 1

If I list country of citizenship, I cannot fill it. 1

It fills the country code based on the country you enter. But you can change it. Even if not it is of no consequence, they are not going to call you. 1 1

In Singapore for example, they have an area with free wifi and giant QR codes you can scan that link you to the web page. It's common to see people who haven't completed the form doing it upon arrival. It's really no big deal. It's just the electronic version of the TM6, nothing more. Free wifi is already available airside in both bKK airports, probably all international airports in Thailand. I can't believe people are so concerned about it. 1 1 2

It can happen to everyone; I went to Malaysia shortly after they introduced their version. I filled the form and loaded the email on the phone so it was ready to present at arrival. However, when unlocking the phone, it tried to access the internet and wouldn't show the email when there were no internet. Thus, I had to use their backup system - a guy filling the form for me on his phone. No free internet at arrival back then. I plan to bring a printed QR code when arriving in Thailand next time.

For anyone arriving by land, that's how they'll do it because most land arrivals will probably not have the form filled out in advance. Just imagine the hordes of Laotians, Cambodians and Malaysians using passports who will have no idea how to fill out this form (but they will be required to, unless traveling on a day border pass or something).

There is no return flight - I'll book one when I decide to travel which might be a few weeks prior to departure and I'll stay as long as I want each time I come which could be a few days, months or even years. A lot of people don't have a fixed or even any specific schedule when they travel.

That is something I never expected. Thank you for your advice again, and have a good day.

I tried to change it to Thailand+66 and it didn't like that. (maybe it was me) Anyway I subsequently put a random Oz cell #. No problem. Do you expect they plan to give you a bell to say hi. 1
