Hua Hin partially shut down after quake

Featured Replies

Many facebook reports comming in that most major commercial businesses in Hua Hin have shut down following the tragic quake and fearing an aftershock.  Major malls like Market Village apparently have shut down the banks and different stores. Could anybody give some updates please on the situation in Hua Hin  ? Thank you.

I will take a stab in the dark and declare "fake news"

Have you checked the publication dates?

Yesterday this might have happened for some hours.

But fear of aftershocks today?

Sounds like nonsense to me, considering that every place I've seen today in Bangkok is open. I haven't seen anything to suggest that Hua Hin was affected worse than Bangkok

A 5.1in Burma will hardly be felt more than 1000 km away.

My reply followed SS3's reply ...

After someone doubt any aftershocks a day later ...

TH is a bit closer than 1000 kms away, less than 200 kms from that epicenter.
