No comparisson are you are real boy @RSD1 or a bot that is the question..

USA is to big to tank like that but erodosion yes easy he has already did that
once you start to hit americans in their pockets for real then and only then will there be a backlash against policy
and he is asking them to be patient
well once the companies come back with dates that they will complete their move to USA ..

and he cannot take the credit for Hyundai like he is
They invested under the last administration
by the end of this year they will roll out EV
which because made in USA get a 7500 grant
again Hyundai investmet is not Trumps doing

6. Tank the Economy

Implement reckless fiscal or trade policies, stir up investor fear, ignore inflation or debt, and mismanage crises to trigger recessions or long-term decline.

I am no expert in finance, but my guess is any decline is likely short term, not long term.

And I base this assertion on the tech companies. Tesla will soon be the largest company in the world BY FAR. Microsoft has a multi-billion dollar project in the works.

There are just way too many tech giants in the US for any serious long-term decline.

PS: Trump has the power to affect things, but maybe not as much power as you suggest in this OP. He's not a dictator as there are massive corporations affecting the economy. Not just Trump and his traiffs.

BTW, why didn't his tariff chart have Russia on it?

Because i would imagine USA has no dealings at all with Russia in regards to buying and selling goods.

Ask the people behind Biden's administration ?

Biden didn't have a cue.

All of those here who are moaning in defense of Trump in some way are merely triggered snowflakes clutching their pearls whilst displaying signs of a heavily guilty conscience and suffering deeply from Trump derangement syndrome because Trump was never even mentioned in the OP. All pretty sad actually.

Wrong president. Trump is doing just this right now but some are too ignorant to see the truth.

He may just throw open the border to all and sundry.  That's a sure way to destroy a country.

Just ask the Europeans...

Throw open the borders, and rush to allow the gangbanger influx to vote. Try jailing their opposition. Ban factual reporting about their misdeeds. Stop hiring govt employees on merit but rather on how many diversity boxes they tick. Project weakness abroad with chaotic foreign policy. Have a demented leader whos avaricious wife controls him.weaponize the judiciary & attack supreme court judges after concocting nonsensical narratives against them. Try banning ICEs to replace with noddy cars. Flood kindergarten and primary schools with pedo and perverts to groom and confuse children.

"The Japanese cajole us, they bow to us, they tell us how great we are and then they pick our pockets. We're losing hundreds of billions of dollars a year while they laugh at our stupidity."

That's how he saw the world 35 years ago. Little has changed.

That's purely driven by American hubris. So they only have themselves to blame for that when believing that anyone who pretends to admire them is being sincere.

Whether right or not, what's going down now should not be such a big surprise.

Listen to Boris Johnson and levy sanctions on a neighboring superpower and then fund a piss-ant little country on its neighbor's border to fight to their last man, woman, and child while destroying their own "superpower bloc" economies in blow-backs to their own failed sanctions?
