Tim Cook explains:

It's not cheap labour, it's about the depth of their precision engineering and the availability to up scale that.

Hopefully too much. Apple products are overpriced for what they are. They have a closed eco system. Why anyone buys apple is a mystery really.

Oh yeah, the advertising. They think because it costs three times what it should they now belong to the elite. When in reality they belong to the club of fools overpaying for nothing all that.

Plus closed eco system.

In June of 2023 I decided to try an Android because replacing an iPhone was expensive.

I struggled with using the Android  and put it down to lack of familiarity.

I kept using it and found it difficult to use even after a period of learning.

After about 18 months I decided it was just inferior in design and went out and bought an iPhone.

Expensive but designed to be easy to use, just a better phone.

I think Steve Jobs once said he wanted Apple tech products to be as easy to use a toaster, that is maybe a key, having ease of use as a goal.

So happy to be using an iPhone again in spite of the expense.

I agree Iphones are easier to use. But saying that Android is too difficult to use, well words fail one really. It's particularly amazing because you used Android in 2023, and it has caught up a lot and made use far easier than ever before.

Ease of use I give you that though. Sexy design as well, granted, on some products, though the newest Iphones look like boring bricks compared to some of the Android competition.

Yes, Iphone does work. But, their closed eco system, big brother deciding what apps you can get is a total dealbreaker for me. Plus the fact Apple prodcuts are stupidly overpriced. There are a very large number of Android phones that are just far better specced, charge much faster, the specs are just so much better.

I am still convinced most people buy Apple because they've been sold this "luxury top apex product with insane priceline" advertising and think they  are joining an exclusive elite world. I see Apple phones as inferior to many Android phones.
