A Thai Lakorn Worth Watching

Featured Replies

On Channel One (31) now ... "Luan Kannika".  Historical soap opera about a a 19th century brothel.  Has last year's Miss Universe plus some other hot actresses .... natural skin tones rather than pasty white too.

Surprisingly well produced for a lakorn and even more surprising is it deals with the subject of prostitution (Kannika is, I think, the old Thai term for a hooker.

No sub titles so can help us mongers to learn Thai. 😀

I stumbled across a Netflix Thai-language mini-series mystery called "Master of the House". It's the best Thai-produced drama I can remember, and it has English subtitles. The plot, acting, and production quality are quite good, and there are a bunch of cute female house staff with occasional bare breasts to keep it interesting. I'm checking out some other Netflix originals in Thai. Impressed 😊

Not that surprising, a slew of Netflix Thai series deal with prostitutes at the moment.
