As usual, the  critics are quick to pounce and offer their uninformed judgements. It would have helped if  they had read the criteria and what the designation is for.

It is for CONTINUING EDUCATION purposes. The 100+ people are  nominated to attend education with international  educational institutions, seminars with experts, and meetings to share  ideas. It takes people who can benefit from outside guidance and  skill upgrades.  The fact is that the woman is PM of a large country, and rather than yell at her that concepts  may be  inappropriate, coaching  and training will be given to offer  alternative options or better ways of doing things.  It is no different than a company that upgrades the skills of  its workers, or my professional continuing education requirements.  The great thing about this format is that  she will be with her peer group, people who have similar  issues and pressures.

Read the  intent of the educational program.

The joke is the people who are  criticizing without  understanding that the program is intended to help  the  nominees do a better  job.

According to that criteria she hasn't been "honoured" or "recognised". She has been picked out because she is underperforming and is not up to the job. Having a current Prime Minister being coached in this way, is overt foreign interference.

Exactly!

What? The 30 baht health scheme is not her idea. It was already there before she took office. Digital wallet was scrapped, and payments where made to bank accounts.

"the 30-Baht Universal Healthcare Anywhere programme"

The key word is "Anywhere".

As I understand it, under the 30 baht healthcare scheme Thais had to travel to their registered address to receive care (or, at least, to request a referral to another hospital).

The intention is to allow them access to healthcare under the scheme wherever they may be living or working.

AFAIK this change has only been rolled out in a few provinces, but will become national in due course.

Seems like an improvement to me - but I'm not sure that the idea came from Ung Ing herself.

You say she is underperforming. And who are you to judge the Thai PM? Seriously, have you ever held high office? Ever managed a  large multi billion $$ or Euro corporation with the dual purposes of growing, investing to ensure that pensions  and benefit plans can be sustained and balancing that with providing social and humanitarian services to tens of millions of people?

I didn't actually say that she was underperforming , I said "according to the criteria that had been mentioned" (not by me)....

Only politicians and ceo's are allowed to criticize the PM?

No, I can tell by your attitude that you are American who left Thailand with your tail between your legs back to America with a big chip on her shoulder about Thai women.

Nope. The point is that  people with no public service experience or large  organization management experience are commenting on why a senior government official  merits being extended an opportunity to add to her knowledge  and to learn from world experts. The PM is being criticized because of personal bias and envy.

It is not uncommon for large organizations to send   personnel, particularly CEOS, COOs and  young promising  executives to educational programs  specific to that class of person.

If you do not know what the curriculum is or what the subject matter is that will be discussed, on what basis are you criticizing the  educational program that will be provided?

Translated:
"She works for our cabal of wealthy, powerful, and entitled elites of the world, and as such, she'll make Thailand's goals align with enriching the most wealthy people on the planet by taking steps to transfer what little wealth is left for the commoners, peasants, and human-sheep to us.  Really, why do the "little people" need to control any money or assets?  In our world where they are naught but units of human utility, they'll own nothing...and they'll be happy about it - or else!.  In our WEF world, the world is by billionaires, for billionaires.  In the future we'd like to see a return to the Thailand of old where society was a well oiled machine of Masters and Slaves.  Ah - a return to the good old days krap! Eat ze bugz!"

How  to you manage to shuffle to the  toilet when you are carrying such a big chip of  resentment on your shoulder?
