Dear TDAC/Immigration,

I do not have a mobile-phone or smart-phone, how should I try to comply with the new entry-system ?

As a twenty-year resident of Thailand, I do have a current re-entry permit, and am used to giving my finger-prints to identify myself & my Immigration-status, will that still be sufficient ?

do also have a computer-printer, it is located at my residence here in Thailand, so I cannot access it (to print a copy of the QR-code) until after I have arrived, and been let back into Thailand.

I have looked into completing the new arrival-form, but it does not currently allow me to give my country-of-residence as being in Thailand, how should I complete the entry-form in this case ?  Of course I don't want to give an incorrect address/country-of-residence, to you.

I will return to Thailand, from my next trip overseas, on 13th May  ...  and hope that all will become clear, by then.

I am in the same situation. I travel by road to hospital in Khon Kaen on Sunday 4th May via the O'Smach - Sisaket land crossing. I shall plead ignorance and if I am refused then I will discuss the need for urgent medical treatment. I only have an old 3G mobile. This crossing is usually quiet with mainly local Cambodian and Thai travelers. Maybe they still have a collection of old TM6 forms available.

Recently, I travelled to the same hospital but travelling with Air Asia from Siem Reap to/from Khon Kaen. Thai Immigration in Bangkok (DMK) were brilliant. Being in a wheelchair, I was kept clear of all the channels with passengers queueing and was taken to the DIPLOMAT- VIP channel and processed in a couple of minutes. I was the the sole traveler who was then ushered to the right of the Diplomat channel to a hidden lift within the Immigration Admin and rest area and taken to the ground floor. Thankyou Air Asia and Thai Immigration - first class service!

Yes, thank you. I will try using the website on my computer and generate a paper copy for presentation to Thai Immigration.

If your flight start from UK but you have another flight from China (connecting flight) and then you arrive to Thailand, what's the country that you have to fill on the country where you boarded? UK or China? As is the connecting flight that will bring you to Thailand

And what flight number you must fill in? The flight number from UK or the flight number from China to Thailand?

I would have thought UK because you are only in transit when changing planes but not sure

Surely the reason why people could not previously find Thailand in the list was because they were unaware that it starts with a K.

The video is nothing like the actual process.  Granted it's two weeks old and the process is being developed, but better to work it out for yourself than go by what's shown above.

Read the linked threads.

If you don't have a phone then go to your local library and use their computer and printer the form seems straight forward to fill in on the official website, hopefully you have a email address, if not open one now

No I did check that and it wasn’t anywhere.  They have now added it.

The immigration ruling for visas etc has always been the flight number for the leg into Thailand.

Not the case. They changed the list of countries a few weeks back.

Many countries started with "THE", the UK and US were "THE UNITED......."

Thailand would have been "THE KINGDOM......."

The TDAC is not about the foreigners living in Thailand. It is about inputting and managing the data relating to the arriving foreigners' travel travel to Thailand.

The immigration officials will have less checking and typing to do and this will hopefully speed up immigration clearance.

What items do they not have to check over having nothing to check at the moment?

It is correct that a foreigner who has legal residence in a country other than his passport country should indicate the actual country of residence on the TDAC form.

Currently, the TDAC form does not allow foreigners with legal residence in Thailand to select Thailand as their country of residence. There has been an announcement that this will be corrected and that in the meantime the country of citizenship should be indicated.

https://www.tatnews.org/2025/04/thailand-digital-arrival-card-system-set-to-launch-on-1-may-2025/

As of today it has not been corrected, and it launches in 3 days.

They'd better get a move on with that correction.

To all the Chicken Littles who won't have internet or data, don't have a smart phone, don't like computers (but somehow managed to book their flight to Thailand) rest assured there are touchscreen terminals in the arrivals hall when you can fill out the form - just like there are in Singapore. The sky won't fall. All is well in the world.

I'm wondering how you get to show the QR code to the IO?

Well seeing as you are entering all your passport information I am sure it will come up when the IO scans your passport - that would be logical.

Edit: As this seems based on the Singapore model I don't see why it won't work the same. In Singapore you don't even show the bar code unless asked (I have never been asked), your passport is scanned and the system ties it to your TDAC. I am sure this would be the same. Have the barcode in case there is an issue but my money says you normally won't be asked for it as long as it has been completed online.

Indeed it would, in which case it could/should apply to everyone, until now they have been telling us to show it to the IO, would be ideal if that isn't actually necessary.

Yeah, in Singapore they tell you to have it handy but I have never been asked. Hopefully this will be the same but I guess we'll find out in a few days' time. Hopefully some people will report here.

I am also cautiously hopefully that once this is implemented and teething problems ironed out it will eventually lead to auto gates being available to foreigners on arrival - that would make logical sense for having the system, but just my feeling.
