I'd prefer a middle finger emoji.  I usually use the "sad" emoji when something is actually sad. People or pets getting hurt.  If people say stupid stuff imho, I tend to default to a "laughing" emoji and I make a comment.

fredwiggy, just for your information, I haven't posted even a single negative emoji on this board, let alone this thread.

Do you agree with the AI synopsis of a narcissist? Do you recognise those traits?

It's funny that I see all of those sad emojis just after you came to this post. Mods can tell. I don't have anyone else in this topic arguing like a child with me, nor saying I don't know what a real man is. Only you. I've read many books on narcissism, and don't need AI to understand what it's all about. My ex is a covert narcissist, Trump is a malignant narcissist and some here are combative narcissists. Corey Wayne, author of 3% Man, is a malignant narcissist, taught by his own family (his words) how to be one. He thinks 97% of men are weak betas and alphas are the ones a woman should mate with because they have better genes. He's a millionaire weirdo, funded by other narcissists and clueless women who have sex with bad boys, actually thinking they'll stick around, because they fall for their BS time and again, and think the moral beta male is a loser. Alpha males aren't born but taught, how to get over on others in a discreet way. There are countless beta males who not only take care of their families, but are strong men, fully capable of knocking alpha males in the dirt. This is the alpha narcissists. Maybe some alphas aren't full blown narcissists, but time tells..............https://lynnenamka.com/narcissism/narcissism-articles/alpha-narcissists/

Well, you have to ask of course.

I've just checked through all the negative emojis on this thread.

Saw none from @SMIAI on your posts, plenty from @fredwiggy on assorted other posts.

So please stop now, before I have to remove someone while they calm down.

I stand corrected. But the few I did are legitimate.

I don't use negative emojis. I prefer staying positive.

Personally, I am wholly unaffected by any negative emoji. Possibly the reason being, that there are a few characters who will do it out of spite and personal enmity. So it cannot be taken seriously as a form of feedback.

The ones that do get upset over it are, I suspect, lacking in other areas of their lives.

If you have positive reinforcement around you, what does it matter when someone who knows little to nothing about you decides to post a negative emoji?

I only give positive reinforcement as that what I have in my life.

Sad Emoji, plus one-star on the topic. Can't have one without the other or you haven't lived.

I like to give some negative reinforcement in reply to what I get

sometimes on this here forum

I also give lots of positive reinforcement  to those I agree with.

95% agree,

I do feel some effect

from negative emojis but mostly it's from not knowing who sent the negative review ,however it's a minor annoyance nothing that a bit of "woo -saaaa" can't fix :licklips:

I try to discuss the error of their ways with them 😊 rather than to use emojis. But such conversations don't seem to flourish here 😊

Instead, Trolling and Baiting is the name of the game. There's no serious discussion about anything here. It's a lost cause. I guess there's still the visa and health sections that have some use in the real world.

Exposed at what? Using emojis as everyone here does? Real men don't assume things about others. That's a teenager's thinking.

Personally, I understand the "sad emoji", either to indicate that something really is sad, or perhaps as an ironic comment on someone's view.

The "confused emoji" - well often I find myself looking at a post (one of my own, or someone else's) and thinking " that couldn't be clearer, what on earth is confusing about that?"

Perhaps we need an "I don't agree emoji", or even a range, from expressing"mild disagreement" to "you are talking absolute <deleted> again"!

Change the emojicons and make it simpler  ...

for example :

I disagree 👎

I agree  👍

great story   𝒀𝒆𝒔

no sense 😑🤷‍♀️

Then you have the confused emoji people.

Why join a Thai forum if you don't want to discuss Thailand?

Let's see how man sad emojis turn up from the miserable people.

Emojis are indeed unnecessary.

However, this blog is obviously addicted to it.

Some are stalking each other by clicking on "bad" emojis even I suppose.

For real conversations or discussions there is no need for any of those gimmicks.

But many I think are just cowards to respond with a sentence or don't have anything to day.

The rules can only be changed by the owner of AN I guess.

I get the annoyance, when warranted, but perhaps because your posts are contentious tripe? The sad emojis are useful when one couldn’t be bothered to respond, but I agree it can be annoying when you think you’ve made a OBVIOUS lighthearted comment and you get the donkeys jumping all over it. Also be aware that the boomers don’t do well with emojis, messaging, emails etc. 😂 You have to make allowances for that.

I would like to see a two fingered or an extended middle finger emoji. much more accurate than a sad or confused emoji.

When I place sad emojis to you, I actually mean them to represent:

"PATHETIC"

And there isn't an emoji for "stupid"
