Then why create a new thread about it if it does not affect you one bit?

Just interested in other member's feelings about him. OK?

Agree, not for the likes of me and you, but millions across the whole World will be in mourning for weeks, for a regime which has caused so much trouble and garnered so much money from the poor believers.

The believers choose to donate.

Not personally impacted.

I would have been happy for him to stay as Pope for much longer.

He was my favorite Pope in my lifetime.

I'll be curious to watch the traditional pick a Pope ritual they will go through but have low expectations that the new guy will be an improvement.

and it's one reason I just became a Christian after I started out raised as a Catholic.

Are Catholics not just another flavour of Christian?

All Christians but Catholics believe in praying to saints. I feel it's not necessary.

No man is an island and all that.....but hand on heart....couldn't give a monkey's......how many children died today? I'd shed a tear for them.

Then avoid the topic.

pneumonia is the consequence of severed immune system. I don't want to name all those celebs whose death cause was announced "pneumonia" as it might sounds blasphemous.
Move on:
Dual pneumonia means upper and lower parts of lungs damaged.

Well, from COVID-19 experience we learnt that there are ways to oxygenate blood even without working lungs. Temporarily.

To make it short: Eminence had something more sinister with his health and that's why they rush to put him into the coffin and end the story.

I won't buy that the wealthiest Vatican could not heal the Pope from puny pneumonia. There is some really scary story behind.

Rest In Peace, Your Eminence

PS: look at his meeting with JD Vence. He was completely immobilized and bloated. Pneumonia?

Is it coincidence that he died after meeting with the Satan's second in command ?

I can imagine him thinking "This guy is a world leader?" and just giving up.
