Im now doing my academic study on couples that live in Thailand that may not be both Thai

And to be politically correct is your partner another nationality other than Thai ?

I know there are Filipino ladies living in Pattaya with farang husband's

I'm intrigued on how many couples

I was sat at Nicky restaurant in Pattaya looking at the owner couple, both looked farang

Is it possible to live easy in Thailand particularly Pattaya with a NON Thai partner

Wouldn't be easy I guess

might be easier, in some ways

no family interference,

no pressure to move out to the sticks to buy land and build a house (unless thats what you really want).

Lived with a non Japanese wife in Japan. It would have been much easier if I had married a native.

Dealing with government taxes, utilities, other problems much easier if one of you is fluent in the language/culture.

Much easier with a Thai wife......I get to do nothing.

She deals with all admin, phone calls, immigration, bill paying..........

Forget the race....how about a dog...or a sheep. Would your life be more difficult in Pattaya with a cock for example?

What?

Academic??🤣🤣

He was likely using the alternative definition of "academic", i.e. "not of any practical relevance".

You should seriously work on spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and understanding the bare basics which can be found in the MLA Handbook prior to attempting to publish anything regarding "academic study on couples that live in Thailand."  Either that or purchase a copy of Grammarly.

Those suggesting that another member "works on their grammar and sentence structure" should make sure that theirs is 100% correct first!

I agree.

I've got an ex spouse, a girlfriend and teenage children (all Thai's) who help me regularly with different chores living here in Thailand.

This week my teenage daughter remotely arranged a rental car, Roi Et airport pick etc.

The rental company wanted my Thai drivers licence, passport and Thai ID card, this would be a struggle without a Thai connection.

Yes, I could probably do this myself, it would take me a lot longer to organise. I would run the risk of being refused, car not being available etc.

It's so convenient for me to delegate different tasks to my Thai family.

When you say it wouldn't be easy what comes to mind for me is how difficult most Western women are. That would be the biggest challenge, why live with a Western woman, when you don't have to?

Are you an academic? I doubt it.
