Police in Patong have launched an investigation following the discovery of a deceased Swedish national in his hotel room in the Kathu District of Phuket Province on 23 April. The man, identified as Mr Pierre, aged 52, had reportedly been staying alone at the hotel since 10 April. Authorities have confirmed that there were no visible signs of struggle, forced entry, or foul play at the scene. Personal belongings, including medication, were found intact, and nothing in the room appeared to have been disturbed. Emergency services were called to the scene and later transported the body to Vachira Phuket Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. According to a hotel maid who discovered the body, Mr Pierre had been seen drinking alcohol in his room on a daily basis. She explained to police that she attempted to clean the room that morning, but received no response when she knocked. After trying again around midday and still getting no answer, she looked through the window and saw Mr Pierre lying motionless. Concerned, she entered the room and discovered him unresponsive, at which point she immediately notified the authorities. The Swedish Embassy has been informed of the incident and is working to contact Mr Pierre’s next of kin. A spokesperson for the Patong Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released once the results of the post-mortem are available. One snake bite and one bike crash later makes you realise how precious 100% pain-free mobility is. 1 2 2

There's no foul-play reported? I lived there for 20 years, and in the first 15 years did my fair share of screwing around. In the last 5 years I just couldn't be bothered any more. My thoughts on the bar/bar girl scene were that it's just 'too easy' to be of any 'value'. I was never scammed. It was very easy to slide into just sitting around drinking every day, nothing much else to do. Also, if this guy was 52, a heart attack or stroke wouldn't be that unlikely. RIP

In a two week period the cleaning staff and booze providers or foyer staff must have been aware!

The hotel made many offerds to help him but he refused. They also contacted his embassy but they couldn't help because he was an adult person. They brought food for him everyday but he didn't eat nothing.I think he was in a psychiatric distress because of something.I know about another foreigner who stayed with his gf in buriram. His gf said he get a phonecall one day and after that he totally lost it.He start drinking alot all day all night when he was awake. He also refused to eat.He was peeing and <deleted> on himself in the bed. After about 3 weeks he passed away. Its really sad when people ends their life this way. 1

And it got some paranormal story. In the room of cheap guesthouse in BKK, one western man died of drug overdose. After that, their workers started to say they saw his ghost. So the operator called a priest for exorcism(after which the ghost witness ended). And he did it not to lose his workers(might quit for the fear of restless spirit haunts the property).
