London Marathon Upholds Trans Inclusivity Despite Supreme Court Ruling

I presume since it was the equalities act 2010 that was being clarified by the supreme court then this is indeed a law.   Women have the exclusive right to single sex spaces free from men pretending to be women as clarified by the highest court in the land.   If there are changing rooms or toilets designated as male/female and the organizers of the Marathon are encouraging men to use these spaces then they will be encouraging law breaking.

Running a marathon on public roads is not a ‘single sex’ space.

You have state a law has been breaking Ken and yet you now say ‘If there are changing rooms or toilets designated as male/female and the organizers of the Marathon are encouraging men to use these spaces then they will be encouraging law breaking.  “

Shooting down your own claims.

Well done.

They can't get sponsorship because they are not fast enough.

Impressive for a woman, but that wasn't even in competition.

Jackson Page just made 2 147s in the same match.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has 15 in competitons, including one in just over 5 minutes.

Johnny, you obviously don't know much about F1. There are plenty of slow drivers plodding about at the back of the field on daddy's sponsorship cash. They're not there for their speed.

And your Ronnie Sullivan analogy is daft. 99% of male snooker professionals can't live with Ronnie. Does that mean they shouldn't be allowed to compete?

I actually agree with you in part about the designation of non-mixed sports but not for the reasons you quote. My worry is that mixed participation will dilute people's interest, not that women couldn't compete. If The Masters, say, was 50/50 men and women it wouldn't attract the same interest,  rightly or wrongly. That's just the way people are.

I don't really understand gibberish so not really sure what point you are trying to make here.

It's all moot anyway as marathon toilets are all transportable, individual cubicles that anyone can use.  It's not the issue you think it is.

Biological females (sic) compete in the professional snooker, probably the sport most dependent on hand-eye co-ordination.

Moreover biological females can compete in F1, without doubt the most physically demanding of all sports with massive G forces.

"without doubt the most physically demanding of all sports with massive G forces."

Different sports, different kinds of physical demands, think about the Tour de France 150 to 200 km per day and through the mountains.

Very demanding.

Pool, or snooker, or darts etc, are not physical 'sports' so a woman or man is equal, be they normal or trans.

They are not equal. There is more to sports than physical strength.

There is the psychological element to sport which is huge. Also spatial awareness. Hand-eye co-ordination etc.

That's why men overall beat women at non physical sports as well as physical

Meanwhile in the real world.....

So there are no daughters of wealthy sponsors? Why aren't they plodding around? Fact is they cannot compete at the very highest level.

I'm saying the best male is far better than the best female. I bet anyone in the men's top 50 would easily beat that woman who made a 147 "in practice". Probably top 100. I remember in tennis the men's number 200 beat Serena Williams easily.

Yes, they want to see the best of the best at The Masters. The creme de la creme. Not shoehorn in some women for the sake of it. If you want to watch women play they have the women's tour. But the standard is nowhere near.

Good! I'm glad to see this. It's time we started including trans people in our activities. This doesn't mean we have to include trans women or trans men in women's or men's sports. What I mean it quit denying that these people exist, or have the right to exist.

Did you even read the headline of the story ?

Did you not read it or did you read it and not understand it ?

I did read the headline but not the entire article. I thought I understood it. I thought it meant that the London Marathon will admit trans people in spite of a recent UK Supreme Court Ruling declaring there on only two, distinct genders: male and female. Is my understanding wrong on either of these?

The London Marathon will continue to allow Trans to run , its not a new thing .

They are upholding the rules, rather than changing the rules .

No change

Good! That's what I thought I said in my original post on this forum.

When you say refer to "rules" above, I assume you're only referring to the rules of the London Marathon, right?

If what you say above is true, where, then do men go to find changing rooms or toilets? 😮

Why do you think men want to use women's spaces?  Just a fetish or a kink?  A perversion?  Or do you think they like the power they have over women in the places they used to feel safe?

Do you think men pretending to be women should be allowed in women's spaces, such as changing rooms, toilets, prisons and compete in women's sports?

I’d like to hear more of what you know about this ‘psychological element’ to sport and if you think it differs between men and women.

Care to share your knowledge on the matter?

You need to grow a brain if you think those aren't physical sports. Although even in a game like chess which isn't physical men still dominate. That's why they have womens divisions for that.

The most physical effort in a Darts tournament is lifting the pint to your lips. 555

How can any trans women have any pride competing against real women? Marathons are broken down into categories, e.g. age, gender etc. etc.

If the trans woman finishes high up in the women's category they've achieved absolutely nothing! Shameful.
